I like it
| |
pretty rad bday gift
| |
maybe i'll listen later. am not pausing The Weeknd for this shit.
| |
never thought I'd see the day this article would come
| |
I don't know what to feel about this
| |
woah really
| |
"these guys just sound like a shitty number twelve now. song has its moments."
I can see where you're coming from but I'd say it's more like CIRCLE TAKES THE SLUDGE
And personally I love the shit out of it.
| |
this sounds fucking great
| |
I really like this song
| |
Different but fucking awesome.
| |
yeah i've always fucked with the metal aspect this band incorporates
| |
this is pretty great
| |
pretty cool song, will have to listen again later, just got in CTTS a few months ago.
| |
I like everything after the first four minutes
| |
that was so good it changed my opinion about the band, i'll wait for the release
| |
And so comes more (completely justified) hyperbole.
Band rules. I need to listen to this a bunch more, but so far (unsurprisingly) really digging it.
| |
Now I see why they're playing with Thou.
| |
its okay...
| |
its no slam death, that's for sure
| |
There's no such thing as "completely justified hyperbole." Hyperbole is exaggeration. If this band deserves the acclaim they receive than it is not hyperbole.
| |
Never understood Sputnik's liking for this band.
| |
well this is an awful birthday present
| |
its not too bad
| |
but goddamn i cant take that whiny fucking vegan seriously fuck him
| |
i'd much rather take the opinion of a LIMP BIZKIT fan hell yeah fred durst
| |
Me gusta.
| |
fuck yea spirit gets it m/
final verdict 3.5/5 better screamers itd be 4.5 BUT THEY DONE GONE AND FUCKED UP DIDNT THEY
| |
aoty
| |
Wow. The song pleasantly surprised me, it's way different from ATRU. That album was brilliant, but progression is a sign of quality.
I love how pretentious they are. Perhaps they like to make themselves sound more intellectual than they are, but at least they're ambitious and it showssss
listening to this on repeat i can't wait for the album anymore oh god
| |
The vocals killed As The Ruins Undo for me, but it seems they have vastly improved in the seven years since. I may love this.
| |
never listened to them, this is pretty cool though....
do they have a girl screaming in there??
| |
i really liked that
| |
I dig it, but the song sounds a bit like they are trying to cram too many ideas into it.
| |
First impressions; pretty good. Some of the drum parts and fills sound really sloppy. I think the mix was a lot better on ATRU. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the new stuff, but this is like Crowquill for me.
| |
do they have a girl screaming in there??
Yep -p-
| |
So. Fucking. Pretentious.
| |
so -p-
| |
People need to learn what pretentious means
| |
^So true...
| |
yeah yeah, pretentious, we've heard it a million times before. get over it. song is pretty tight. beginning is a tad bit tedious though.
| |
trebor isnt it like past tense
| |
Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.
I guess lyrics could be pretentious, but not music itself
| |
hey this is actually awesome
| |
It's more enjoyable. Not as good, but... well you know what I mean.
| |
nah man it means to like do something in the past
| |
PREtense
| |
The constitution isn't a con, it isn't bad. It should be the prostitution
| |
im pro prostitution america fuck yea
| |
Seems like something that will take a few listens to fully grasp, but after a first listen, it's not bad.
| |
This one feels really metal.
| |
paxman doesn't know what "justified" means
| |
so does this mean MJ will come back? By the way song is beyond awesome (as expected)
| |
I expected to comment "why does everyone like this? it's pretty bad"
but actually I kind of liked it. Maybe I should check out ATRU again. It's a little long and really tries to implement too much. Definitely not bad though
| |
YES.
| |
On first listen it has nothing memorable, but I will listen to it again... when the album is out.
| |
this rules.
| |
lol
| |
I like it. Couldn't really get into ATRU, hopefully I can get into this new album.
| |
song rules
| |
this was sick
| |
Listened to a minute of it.
That female vocalist is still annoying as fuck.
| |
wow
| |
cool song.
| |
AAAAWWWW YEEEAAAAHHH
| |
this will never leave my feed, probably shouldnt even comment...
oh well
| |
Fucking finally put something out.
| |
woah this is actually awesome what the hell? I dont really like atru that much but this is just, woah now
| |
yeah despite the weird vocals, i found this had a lot of clarity and was really well composed
| |
well executed as well
| |
Song is sick, stop all the hating on this awesome band.
| |
As the user formerly known as MJ, I feel I should comment on this. It is disgraceful that NPR deigned to feature this disgusting piece of "music." Once this vile new album is finally released, I hope that Sputnik has the good sense to feature my review of it.
| |
I thought this was pretty swell after the first two listens. Hopeful for the new EP or Album or whatever it is.
| |
Awesome song. Though I consider 'As The Roots Undo' a classic, so.
Hopeful for future releases.
| |
yes mj is back. ctts has really grown off me. song's not bad but i got bored after like 5 minutes of
it, most of which i was moving around the house anyway
| |
Fuck off MJ
| |
wow this is a lot heavier
also, rules
| |
I don't even know who you are Trebor17. It is clear from your statement, however, that you are of weak moral constitution. Nevertheless, your mind has been trick-fucked by assluck. You will read my review and be enlightened.
| |
Is this guy serious?
| |
He'll make you look like a trolling noob, Trebor.
| |
I mean... im not big on atru but this is really fucking cool. it does sound like #12, which is awesome.
| |
Tkxxx or whatever the hell his/her name is doesn't know what "means" means.
| |
Dear Trebor,
Have you even read my magnificent review of AtRU?
Shut up,
Ross Wolfe
| |
Where can I read it?
I thought it was taken down
| |

holy shit somehow youre more pretentious than this band. you don't like them, we get it, let's move on please
| |
if that guy really is MJ, and if MJ really was the person behind that Rembrandt account... i just wanna say: sir, your TDAGARIM review is the greatest thing i've ever read on this site.
| |
CLOCK WORRRRK WITCH CRAAAAFT
| |
Read it here: http://rateyourmusic.com/collection/MichaelJordan/recent/
Sputnik was too weak to handle my review. the mods deleted countless other reviews of the album as well
you don't really get it, Aids
| |
Also MJ is totally serious, which makes him a Meta-Troll. He's more dangerous. He has transcended trolldom and taken the reins of the universe.
| |
I not going to read that dogshit of a review
| |
+1 for NPR
| |
Drags on WAY too long. Even for a CTTS song.
As the roots undo had much more variation in it. We'll see how this album comes out.
| |
+2 for MJ
| |
thanks G3N3R1C and yeah I was also Rembrandt
i wrot e this review of AtRU after my geometric proof one got taken down: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/37709/Circle-Takes-The-Square-As-the-Roots-Undo/
yeah
| |
song rules, not surprised
| |
really liked this
i like their 'fuller' sound now
really looking forward to the new material now
| |
Track list with track lengths are on the Wiki page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rites_of_Initiation
| |
its a 9 minute song
I'm not streaming a 9 minute song.
How will I live without ctts
| |
˙é¥ ¬øø˚≤ î†æß µ∆
| |
Gesundheit.
| |
Mmmm... I like.
| |
oh thank god mjs back
| |
Fuck this shit band. This is horseshit.
| |
Oh man, this was fantastic
| |
apollo: i've never really gotten why people get angry when they hear music they don't like
| |
it took ten or more listens of 'creator to cough in' before any ctts material 'clicked' with me so I guess i shouldn't dismiss this as quickly as I'd like to... but right now; meeeeehhhhhhh
| |
crater
bye bye credibility
| |
lol
| |
Song totally destroys, as expected.
| |
that was awesome. totally excited
| |
typos ruin credibility? haha man im fucked from here on out
| |
looks like it
| |
ANYWAYS, I love as the roots undo but.. honestly I hated it the first few spins so I'll keep listening to the new ep untill it makes sense and completely blows me away.
| |
triangle takes the octagon
| |
hectagon takes the cylinder
| |
didn't read any of the comments but im just going to assume the consensus is this is fucking amazing because it is. stoked npr's been covering more heavy music ever since they fell in love with Harvey Milk a while back.
| |
npr is true again
| |
I actually like the song, though I couldn't stand the band before.
Ma.. maybe it's my time to be cool and like CTTS.
everythingwentbetterthanexpected.doc
| |
Really taken aback by how solid this is.
| |
that was really long and drawn out and all over the fucking place... i guess i like it
| |
vocals sound fucking tight, hoping for more trippy sound effects on other tracks
| |
can't wait for tuesday to hear the other songs
this is so good
| |
I don't know if it's because it's been seven years, or people on Sputnik are just nit-picky, but there is no reason to dissect one song from the album and then give a final verdict. Anyway, I found the song to be quite enjoyable. I believe Decompositions has the potential to outscore As the Roots Undo. I'm really hoping there's a lot of sludge-influence on the record.
| |
it's alright
| |
Critically acclaimed post-hardcore/emo act Circle Takes the Square
Jesus fucking christ. Get over yourself.
| |
I just cannot get into this band anymore. Maybe it has something to do with not being 15.
| |
hmm the vocals are better but I'm not fussed, I'll check it out I suppose when it's comes out but I'm not going in with ridiculous expectations.
| |
got kinda gay halfway through. that was still pretty good though, not as big a mess as i was expecting.
| |
cuute
| |
solid, looking forward to the album now
| |
Why would anyone listen to this fucking garbage when they could just listen to Bartok. it took ten times as much balls for him to write the Concerto for Orchestra than it took for CTtS to lay this turd. to say nothing of The Miraculous Mandarin
the blood of this generation is so diluted. the nearly-universal degeneration of taste is merely a symptom of this decline
| |
the blood of this generation is so diluted. the nearly-universal degeneration of taste is merely a symptom of this decline
lol oh ok
| |
at least they used the word "labyrinthine" instead of "labyrinthian"
| |
yeah, I like this
| |
speziale is seriously the ugliest fucking man alive
| |
This band is the best thing I've ever had grace my ears, fuck it I'm a fanboy. Their scramz are sex their instrumentation is sex, I've literally listened to this over 20 times now and it just gets better with every listen.
I'm the happiest little girl in the world.
| |
Stravinskii was both uglier and a better composer than Speziale
Shostakovich looked like the kid from A Christmas Story and still he would wipe his ass with this shit band
| |
Hey i just got here, are a bunch of people mad about this band yet?
| |
right here
| |
Horrible "band".
| |
