can't wait to hear this
|
| |
Typo in the news title ;)
Listening now.
|
| |
I don't think he could fit the "e" on the end of "single"
As for the song, it's decent. Hoping more from the full album.
|
| |
Yeah I was thinking that myself too.
Song was average, never heard anything by this band that really impressed me.
|
| |
Catchy chorus. Liking the new sound.
|
| |
Honestly I thought this was a pretty good song. Can't wait till this album comes out!
|
| |
lol Evanescence
|
| |
Have to admit, bit like Evanescence. ^^^^^
|
| |
sounds like a cheesy 80s power ballad....also sounds like Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game'
|
| |
"Its ok. I used to like this band a few years ago. Where's the opera? That's what made this band what they are. This sound more like typical hard rock."
That's funny, I've been into this band for more than 10 years, and I'm yet to listen to an opera song.
As for the song, LOVE it. Don't care if it's commercial or sounds like evanescence.
(though I will probably get tired of this in the near future)
|
| |
Every band releases what I like to call - 'The Sickening Single'. They lose their replay value more and more with each listen.
Thats why when you get the album, you skip that song every time. I think the song is pretty good though.
|
| |
lol Evanescence [2]
|
| |
True. "What have you done" and "Stand my ground" were the weakest songs of past albums, imo.
|
| |
@Dreamflight:
I agree lol. Although I can never get enough of What Have You Done, Ive gotten very tired of Stand My Ground. Ive raped the replay button on that song for who knows how many times! Its a good song, I just over-played it.(i will listen to the Black Symphony verison though.)
|
| |
So everybody is comparing them to Evanescence, yet nobody else has noticed the 80s cheesiness or the remarkable similarity to the song 'Wicked Game'. Sometimes i wonder about the musical knowledge and/or perception of the users in this site...
|
| |
These guys have a couple songs I like but overall I'm not crazy about them. Will give it a listen.
|
| |
so average :]
|
| |
Meh, pretty boring song.
|
| |
I'm going to pause Grief to hear this. WT always put out ear candy for singles.
|
| |
didn't much like the chorus...
|
| |
melancholy chick-rock
|
| |
@WTfan4eva:
It's all about tastes in the end. Tbh WT are one of those bands I'd rather listen studio than live.

That proves all arguments are fallacious. :D
But yeah, this sounds much more 80's, than anything, however I fail too see the similarities with Wicked Game.
|
| |
@Dreamflight: You're correct. Its all about personal taste. WT honestly sounds good both live and in the studio. Some songs are better preformed in the studio, some are better live. It varies.

| |
@ sleepyhead
I think you mean the cover version by HIM..? because the original by Chris Isaak sounds nothing like this...but yeah, your comparison to the HIM cover makes sense
|
| |
yeah it sounds more like the HIM cover version but the melody is the same, therefore the melody sounds like the original too. whatever the case, it sounds NOTHING like Evanescence. Sure it's more mainstream than their previous stuff but the vocals, guitar style, distortion and the overall production are completely different to Evanescence. However, i'm more concerned with the fact that i've commented 3 times on a Within Temptation thread
|
| |
Haha, true
Well, in my defense, I'm Dutch, so even though I don't like their music, im sort of proud of them
|
| |
it's not bad music and i admit i used to listen to them a bit, but Holland has so many other metal bands to be proud of: Pestilence, The Gathering, God Dethroned, Ayreon, Textures, Exivious, Aspyhx, Guilt Machine, just to name a few
|
| |
The song sounds different from their typical style, but pretty good. This upcoming album may actually be good, unlike the last album they released.
|
| |
Damn you sleepyhead, you forgot After Forever and Orphanage.
|
| |
they're ok, and so is Delain and Kingfisher Sky
