New Sufjan Stevens Song

2010-08-27 by Sejine | 29 Comments
Sufjan Stevens fans have had a lot to listen to in the past week, and here's some more.

On his Bandcamp page, there is a new song titled "I Walked", which is a significant departure with a more dubstep like sound. The song will also be released on his album Age of Adz on October 12th.

It's clearly an existential crisis. That being said, the track isn't terrible, although it would be significantly better without the reverb.

I like it. He's been experimenting with the echo effect (listen to Heirloom).

He's definitely not afraid to change things up. It makes me curious as to what the rest of the album will sound like.

My least favorite aspect of Sufjan Stevens' music has always been the Disney-esque choir, but it sounds better to me contrasted with all the more electronic sounds.
