It Never Ends...that's how I feel, though this is sounding better than anything I've heard from them in the past. Could be worth getting. It resembles Suicide Season but a little more mature.
|
| |
Wow How about their album title never fuckin ends,
Suicide season ruined them
|
| |
more hardcore oriented.
|
| |
Wow How about their album title never fuckin ends, ahahaha
I've always hated these, but this is solid.
|
| |
Song's alriight.. but what happens to the 30 odd comments of the other news article this took over?
|
| |
but what happens to the 30 odd comments of the other news article this took over?
they're gone... forever
|
| |
poopy song.
|
| |
poopy song
and what exactly were you expecting?
|
| |
I think ive heard this song before by 50 other metalcore bands
|
| |
Do they have a keyboardist now? It's fucking horrible. Worst attempt at atmosphere ever.
This is very hardcore-like, especially with the vocals. However the cheesy ass synth is hilarious.
|
| |
His vocals seem like they are on a steady decline since Count Your Blessings.
|
| |
I actually think they're better. I still hate the band nonetheless.
|
| |
Actually this sounds very impressive
|
| |
Is this a final mix? It sounds so washed out and messy.
|
| |
wow. garbage.
|
| |
I actually really enjoyed that...
|
| |
synth is pretty gay tho...
|
| |
nah this is really good
|
| |
The synth is easily what makes this bad. Otherwise, it'd be alright.
|
| |
"Is this a final mix? It sounds so washed out and messy."
It's a leak for gods sake, so clearly not.
I think this song alone sounds better than their last album. I love the added ambience in some sections of the song.
|
| |
i've always hated this band but i like the direction they went with this song. maybe the album wont suck after all.
|
| |
they need to get away from deez nuts.
|
| |
I don't know, song is different. I can't say I hate it, which is strange. I don't care too much for the vocals tho
|
| |
A generic metalcore song with hardcore vocals and synths made of cheese.
|
| |
i still think that this is pretty damn good
|
| |
What is it with all these scene/screamo bands improving?
|
| |
"What is it with all these scene/screamo bands improving?"
Progression is supposed to come naturally. Typically bands gain experience and get better as they get older. That's what should happen anyway.
|
| |
He called this screamo.. ugh. Go listen to Pg.99 and learn what real screamo is.
|
| |
he called scene an actual music genre...
|
| |
Not as bad as their other shit but it's still nothing special.
|
| |
song is excellent
|
| |
Suicide season v2
|
| |
It's not bad at all, but it's still incredibly average.
|
| |
Hey Oli
|
| |
Rather than have an argument about whether BMTH are scene/screamo or not, or what genre BMTH is, why don't we just ask Olly himself, if it is the real Olly Sykes of course. I quite like the song, but it's not heavy enough in my opinion for it to work. They have definately matured as songwriters though, and the synths are quite interesting. If these new aspects of their sound are used alongside some really brutal riffs, then the album could be pretty good. The vocals still need work though. Im not a huge fan of the shouting/yelling, but I love the high-pitched stuff and the growls.
|
| |
All the shitty bands are getting kind of better in 2010 heh.
|
| |
Guess that answers my question...
|
| |
Am I the only person that hates his deathcore vocals?
|
| |
"Rather than have an argument about whether BMTH are scene/screamo or not, or what genre BMTH is, why don't we just ask Olly himself, if it is the real Olly Sykes of course. He's the real deal.
|
| |
Hey Oli! Any hope you can piss on one of your fans on this fall tour of yours again?
|
| |
Yeah I worked it out after looking at some of his comments lol
|
| |
@Eternium No, you're not. Lots of people hate Olly's vocals. I dislike them most of the time, but he occasionally sounds good, but only occasionally.
|
| |
Anybody who says that Suicide Season ruined them is rtrdd.
That album is the only half decent thing they've put out.
|
| |
yawn
|
| |
Not bad.
Liked it more then i thought i was going to.
Some chick on my facebook is going ape shit happy over this.
But it does feel kinda idk "cheesy".
|
| |
I've heard worse.
Edit: Gotta love the youtube comments:
"oli wrote all lyrics by himself ^^ so it's not shitty ;D"
"This sounds soo much different, its hard to describe but you can just almost feel him pouring his
heart out into the song. Oli is back "
|
| |
That wasn't as terrible as I was expecting, but it sounded extremely unrefined. Oli at least got slightly better with screaming, and the ambient sections were pretty cool. (Not the synth, god that part fucking sucked.
|
| |
The fanboys and girls of this band are ridiculous, they think that everything BMTH release is pure gold, and the biggest reason for this is that the fans are hordes of girls (and most likely many boys) that are in love with Olly Sykes.
|
| |
how can you say his vocals improved since CYB? his "hardcore shout" is awful. At least his highs were okay on CYB. The song however is just a Suicide Season b-side with electronic nonsense thrown about.
|
| |
Are you on crack? His highs were the worst part of that album, which is complete shit, other than the boring ass and numerous breakdowns that are awkwardly placed.
|
| |
I liked Count Your Blessings and PARTS of Suicide Season...but that was pretty boring.
|
| |
Other than I'VE GOT A SECRET, this song is better than anything off Season.
|
| |
If he went for a more hardcore scream like The Ghost Inside/STYG he'd sound pretty good, most of the time he just blows. Pretty decent song too..almost thought there wasnt gonna be any breakdowns but they had to throw some in at the end obviously.
|
| |
Oli's vocals suck period. band sounds exactly like TDWP.
|
| |
Song was alright.
|
| |
This is fucking awful.
|
| |
not bad, not bad. seemed a little unfocused but Oli's vocals are still workin for me
|
| |
the end is the best part
|
| |
If by the end you mean the end of the song so I can go back to listening to something else, then yes.
|
| |
no, i mean like the last minute or so. the synth leading into the "every second" or whatever.
song is excellent
|
| |
If by the end you mean the end of the song so I can go back to listening to something else, then yes. [2]
|
| |
Sounds good! X Japan is better though.
|
| |
damn I could go for some Chinese food right now
|
| |
u know it

|
| |
you are officially my friend
|
| |
the orchestral parts are actually done by an orchestra, not a synth.
|
| |
I'm still salivating at that picture.
|
| |
If by the end you mean the end of the song so I can go back to listening to something else that is actually good and not shit, then yes.
fix'd
|
| |
Happy to be your friend R6Rider.
|
| |
Yay =)

| |
http://www.metalsucks.net/2010/08/19/within-the-ruins-versus-you-exclusive-premiere/
|
| |
im suprised his voice is still even working. .
|
| |
wow. dude c'mon dont be grillin me i aint a hamburger
and thanks for remembering
|
| |
alcholism only benifits his voice, he is the human enbodiment of perfection
|
| |
stop it. or ill make fun of your name..
i will, dont test me
|
| |
me too. but your the one giving me the test so your not the one being bored
|
| |
thanks! ha i made it all by myself!!
are you proud of me?
|
| |
Nothing above average plus cheesy = lame
|
| |
what a stupid new direction to take, do they think theyre innovative?
|
| |
Song was meh.
|
| |
I think I like this because it's not nearly as bad as it could have been.
|
| |
Yeah, that was a bit meh. I did like the intro bit though.
|
| |
100th comment, why do the shit bands always get the most
|
| |
Not a bad song at all. A vast improvement.
Oli's voice is getting worse and worse though.
|
| |
keys are too high in the mix, song is good though
|
| |
Manic, considering the last three times I've seen them, I'd say Oli's voice is in fact improving. His live performance gets better every time.
A LOT better than when I saw them with JFAC and TTEOTD in 2006, that's for fucking sure.
|
| |
i actually really liked it. i love his new vocals and the improvement is very much deserved.
i havent listened to Suicide Season though
|
| |
so...question..
I've heard..rumors that Sunny Moore is going to be working with bmth in the future and or possibly joining as a keyboardist.. has anyone else heard this, I'm sincerely confused.
|
| |
Heard he has a guest vocal and adds his stupid electronica crap in here and there.
|
| |
wow I kinda enjoyed the song. not sure how I feel about that
|
| |
Face it, this song is good
By BMTH standards anyway
|
| |
It's good, but if the rest of the album is gonna sound like this it's going to wear thin quickly.
|
| |
all of the kiddies who go on about how awful bmth is never have any argument to back up the initial statement
just thought id point this out
|
| |
this is it though, there are so many conformists on this site its mental.
|
| |
all of the kiddies who go on about how awful bmth is never have any argument to back up the initial statement
Well, I've said they're awful before because I felt their first two LPs were somewhat unfocused (albeit, Suicide Season showed a lot of improvement, but with far too much restrain given the instrumental talent they previously demonstrated) and they were not too different to many of their peers.
Given that, I did enjoy their EP (probably because I was so br00t4l at the time of release) and I like this new song, it shows a vast maturity.
|
| |
This IS What The Edge Of Your Seat Is Made For is an EP. I'll agree that it's pretty sloppy and amateur.
However, one, how is Count Your Blessings unfocused? Two, how is Suicide Season at all an improvement?
I'm sorry, but Count Your Blessings is their only release thus far where they stuck to one sound and didn't just seem to be lumping together whatever faux-hardcore kids would buy (probably because at the time of it's release deathcore was getting so big). IDK.
|
| |
terrible band, but at least they have gotten slightly better
|
| |
facepalm andsuch
|
| |
Not as bad as previous efforts...
|
| |
the beginning of this starts out a lot like Lonely, Lonely by taking back Sunday.
but yeah this was really good.
|
| |
even the weakest tracks off count your blessings blow this out of the water
|
| |
damnit, didnt get a chance to listen, its gone now
|
| |
I don't like it because there are bands that do what they do x1000
|
| |
@witchxrapist count your blessings is so goddamn boring, that's why i hate it
and the lyrics are pathetic
|
| |
However, one, how is Count Your Blessings unfocused? Two, how is Suicide Season at all an improvement?
Because Count Your Blessings is clearly a bunch of songs written over the space of however long the band had already been together upon the time of the album's release, with not much point other than to be as heavy and scene friendly as possible.
Suicide Season, though repetitive and boring, showcased a more mature and refined sound, superior production and vocals that better suited Oli's ability.
|
| |
i actually really liked that, the end section is sweet. not to sure on the synths in some parts though. but very interesting
i though the vocals on count your blessings were pretty cool
|
| |
This band's like Slipknot. Their music is ok, but they have a group of hardcore fans who think their music is the second coming of Christ.
|
| |
except slipknot blows and bmth is alright
|
| |
Because Count Your Blessings is clearly a bunch of songs written over the space of however long the band had already been together upon the time of the album's release, with not much point other than to be as heavy and scene friendly as possible.
LOL, you're so full of shit hahahahaha
|
| |
ripping off underoath and bury your dead != maturing
|
| |
Bury Your Dead hasn't been good since Beauty.
|
| |
because read the review lol
|
| |
idk the song sounds ok, nothing special at all
|
| |
oli was always the best thing about this band tbh. his vocals on CYB were really good. but now that his vox have gone down the shitter, there's nothing intriguing about this band whatsoever.
|
| |
Oli Sykes has never been a good vocalist. If trying to sound like a retarded demon was "vocal talent" my mentally handicapped cousin could be signed to a better deathcore band than BMTH.
|
| |
Eh, I don't really think this is that bad. Sure, it's pretty over the top, but something about the atmosphere it creates is sort of intersting.
I've said it ONCE, I've said it TWICE, I've said it a THOUSAND FUCKIN' TIMES!
|
| |
suicide season was boring
cyb was awful.
|
| |
Ire, do yu leik teh junz?
|
| |
This song makes me pretty damn excited for the album.
This however, does not
". . . I've heard..rumors that Sunny Moore is going to be working with bmth in the future and or possibly joining as a
keyboardist.. "
|
| |
attack attack is my fav band yo
|
| |
olly
|
| |
he's not joining them... at least i dont think so, he is however chiping in one of the songs here, adding electronic noise i suppose...
|
| |
You know what I'm really liking? The fact that Oli and his band are delivering exactly what they said in that interview that was posted here not too long ago. About synths and shit for the new album.
Because every time I hear a band describe their next album, it's the worst and most misleading description ever.
|
| |
to be fair, most bands only describe their next album either their most cohesive effort or the most br00tal thing ever withouth going into much detail bloc
|
| |
And then there's also the inevitable "This is the best stuff we have ever written" bullshit.
|
| |
^^^ i've fallen quite a few times for that one =(
|
| |
I hear that bro
|
| |
typically albums that aren't ridiculously hyped up are the better ones.
|
| |
Err this is pretty good - when the fuck did BMTH become a post hard core band?
I could listen to ( and probably will ) this.
|
| |
Was a lot different then what I was expecting.
It wasn't too bad.
|
| |
Seriously. It's definitely not groundbreaking by any means, but I can't say this is frustratingly bad by any stretch of the imagination either.
|
| |
The teaser did sound promising to my ear but when I finally heard it my reaction was a little disappointing. It might grow on me later. I loved Suicide Season and I never heard the band before that (I thought the album cover was badass so I picked it up). I read a review for what I'm just gonna call 'Heaven and Hell' and it sounded like its gonna top SS. I'm still anxious to hear more.
|
| |
(Double Post)
|
| |
I actually enjoyed it. It actually doesn't sound like apiece of shit.
|
| |
"When I rode into battle
Battle, this is, oh oh oh oh"
so seeeek
|
| |
Yeah after a few more listens, this shitty synths and silly opera vocals just add awesome.
good job bmth.
|
| |
Love it! New album looks promising
|
| |
They took it off youtube...
|
| |
They released the video for it now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltbt9MaepFY
|
| |
It's not very good.
|
| |
"Oli's vocals are much more produced on CYB, just saying"
Fix'd
|
| |
I really give them credit for how much they've matured. Though, I admit I liked what they had done in the past, I really have high hopes for this. I think they're really coming around to finding their sound.
As for the vocals, every since him and Sam Carter (Architects) started hanging out, he's started using a vocal style more like Sam's.
|
| |
That was bad
|
| |
I....really, really like this song. like..a lot.
|
| |
thats because it is good my friend
|
| |
Listened to this track 20 times now and still love it!
Their first album was pants, Suicide Season had 3 good tracks... they are progressing in the right direction imo.
Its better than 90% of the c-rap in the charts!
|
| |
yeah, I'm with you guys. The more I listen to it, the more I like it.
|
| |
Started off as a one night stand. Lingered to a fling. The sirens and the sergeants didn't seem to mean a thing. Hide your fangs all you want, you still need the blood.
Tell us that its different now, you're up to no good. Take my hand, show me the way, we are the children that fell from grace. Take my hand, show me the way, we are the children who can’t be saved. One more nail in the coffin. One more foot in the grave. One more time I'm on my knees, as I try to walk away. How has it come to this?
I've said it once. I've said it twice. I’ve said it a thousand fucking times. That I'm ok, that I'm fine. That it’s all just in my mind. But this has got the best of me. And I can’t seem to sleep. It’s not because you’re not with me. It’s because you never leave. You say this is suicide? I say this is a war. And I’m losing the battle. Man down. Is this what you call love? (This is a war I can’t win). Everything I loved, became everything I lost.
Every second. Every minute. Every hour. Every day.
It never ends.
|
| |
^Those lyrics are fucking gold
|
| |
I think it was a pretty decent song, definitely shows promise. It's def. more similar to SS than CYB, which is great IMO. Loving the atmosphere.
|
| |
please, use more fucking acronyms
|
| |
well considering this is BMTH we're talking about, this song is guaranteed to suck just like all the other ones
|
| |
^ Love people who give music a chance
|
| |
