I'm sure someone else beside me was wondering where Roetter was gonna end up. And it looks like it's with a backing band that might actually be somewhat good. Also Dead Routine is better than the newer song.

way to steal the band name from a Thrice song.
|
| |
"the new project of ex-Emarosa and Agraceful" Ew.
|
| |
Yea, but he's a good vocalist so...
|
| |
Yeah he was great with emarosa. Agraceful was alright but the music sucked. Hopefully this'll be good, cause i like the dude's voice.
|
| |
I second, Apollo. Hella rippin off the name of a thrice song in a not-cool way...
|
| |
Except that "like moth to a flame" is an phrase that has been around almost forever and was certainly around before thrice. So no, they're not ripping off Thrice they're just pluralizing the original phrase. Way to be Thrice fanboys.
And WhereIsMyMind, that's like me too. Check out Dead Routine. I thought it was pretty good.
|
| |
"Way to be Thrice fanboys." No, the only way the phrase has ever been used is in a thrice song. look it up. i'm not kidding.
|
| |
Really? Are you serious? First off, the song from Thrice is "Like Moths to Flame", not Like Moths to Flame-s. Secondly the phrase "like moth to a flame" has existed ever since people realized that moths were attracted to light. Ever use a bug zapper? Using it outside of that context signifies that a group of things, could be people, are attracted to something "bright", like an interesting person. It is not Thrice's invention, and the band is not stealing anything from them.
Why the hell would they even do that? It's not like people who listen to Thrice listen to music like this on the whole, and as you can see, there's certainty a negative reaction. So if "stealing it" is some grand, crazy scheme, it worked out terribly.
|
| |
haha dude your getting way too worked up about this.
Yeah I am a Thrice fanboy. Thrice are way better than this shit band. And there could be a reference to Thrice. How the fuck do you know? You dont. So stfu.
|
| |
Well, he IS calculon. So he should be uptight.
|
| |
Maybe. But seriously you're an idiot if you think this is a reference to Thrice.
|
| |
haha shortone i was kidding when i said thrice made up the phrase. but i did think of thrice when i saw the name of the band. i used to love emarosa btw... now not so much.
|
| |
Haha fair enough. I've just been around the CNC 4 forums too much lately where everyone is retarded and I guess that belief stuck with me for whatever reason. So yea, my apologies. And yea, Emarosa now is just a Jonny Craig circle jerk pretty much.
|
| |
To the people saying that this band stole their name from a Thrice song should look at Between the Buried and Me. They got their name from lyrics of a Counting Crows song.
|
| |
This song is surprisingly good.
