guitar hero = hypehypehypehypehype.
|
| |
Or you could spend $190 on a real guitar.
|
| |
a shitty guitar
|
| |
Ill buy this. I think theyll do a better job than Rock Band, which I never really liked anyways.
|
| |
Great, more fucking peripherals that I don't need. This game better be compatible with the Rock Band drums.
|
| |
One Armed Scissor is supposed to be on the Aerosmith version of this game too so fuck this game
|
| |
Q: Pumped?
A: YUSSS
|

"This game better seriously be compatible with Rock Band instruments."
That won't happen since they are head on competitors now.

they are still going to make alot of money on this, even though it is a waste of money. And the rock band drums can't be compatible: they only have 4 pads while the guitar hero one has 3 and 2 cymbals.
|
| |
"This game better seriously be compatible with Rock Band instruments.
Because I need to play ATDI"
Not going to happen - RB has 4 pads, GH4 has 5 on the drums. The guitars might, but the RB guitars are terrible.
I'll probably get the guitar pack, then wait for the solo drums.

im surprised no one is giving them shit for totally stealing Rock Band's idea.
Guitar Hero FTL
|
a shitty guitar
It is a guitar nonetheless. Far better than playing a dumbed-down, childish simulation.
|
| |
Just for the record this game is going to smash Rock Band. There is an ingame studio with which you can create your own tracks. (That is, create the guitar, bass, and drum part to create a song thats completely your own)
and the online mode battle of the bands will be badass too.
i really want to see a full tracklist though

im surprised no one is giving them **** for totally stealing Rock Band's idea. uh

You must not know how businesses work. The makers of Guitar Hero had a monopoly on band-simulation video games. Now Rock Band entered the market and made it better with more additions. Therefore, to stay in business, Guitar Hero is going to attempt to match Rock Band and have even more appeal. Its not surprising at all.
Anyways, one can make the case that Rock Band stole Guitar Hero's idea. I mean, the guitar alone for Rock Band and the scrolling down of the notes, its a blatant ripoff. Rock Band probably wouldnt exist if Guitar Hero didn't.

Ya...stop fucking introducing people to good music guitar hero! Fuck...

Especially since the makers of Rock Band are the makers of Guitar Hero I and II
|
| |
Guitar Hero probably wouldnt be around if it werent for Konami and their guitarfreak and other music games.
|
| |
Another $200 spent on games, no thanks. This better work with Rock Band! it's bullshit the guitars don't work with the opposite game.
|
| |

Exactly.
|
| |
Guitar Hero III is way more difficult and funner then Rock Band, which is the only consideration i have.

damn, bro, you're so mature. i wish i could be a cool guitar player like you

It's a good thing for you this is the internet. If I didn't have a life, perhaps I'd return with my own hilariously predictable, sarcastic insult.
|
| |
hey anybody heard that cover that ATDI did of that GH song "One Armed Scissor?" It's pretty good but can't match the original!
|
| |
i can't see omar and cedric signing off on this though i don't know if theyd even have control over it...im hoping not so i can here a paid vocalist do it...Killing in the Name for GH2 owned...
|
| |
Whoever said the Rock Band guitar is trash compared to the GH guitar, lol!
--
I did...because they are. Sure, they look cool, and they have a neat idea with the extra 5 buttons, but the buttons seriously stick too much. I can hardly do any HOPOs at all, except for the solos, because I can just tap-tap-tap away.

First off stfu. secondly i was merely pointing out that im surprised no one is giving them shit for going in the exact same direction as rock band, as opposed to evolving their original concept but in a different direction from rock band. they are 2 cymbal pads away from being the exact same game, with mere personal preference being the only deciding factor.
|
| |
Well Rock Band Copied Guitar Hero, so it's only fair Guitar Hero copies Rock Band.
I'm really not sure I'll get this. I'm still holding out hope for Clarinet Hero. with the solo from "When I'm Sixty-Four" as the last song.
|
| |
I'm still holding out hope for Clarinet Hero.
lol.
I'm down for Tambourine Hero.

And I'm just pointing out that it isn't surprising at all. Its a video game where you play the virtual instrument, its hard to deviate from that track to differentiate yourself. They would fail if they tried to evolve in a different direction than Rock Band. Its going to be like the Playstation versus the Xbox now.
|
| |
Rock band's guitar was way way too easy, but GH3 was unenjoyable in parts because it was blatant that activision added unnecessary notes just to bump up the difficulty.
|
| |
People who say Rock Band copied off of Guitar Hero are idiots.
|
| |

this will probably suck i.e. linkin park makes me not wanna buy it already
|
| |
I'm kind of curious as to how Rock Band copied Guitar Hero if the original creators of GH made Rock Band. They sold the brand and put their newfound funds towards a new product using the same technology to add more instruments and improve other game; not to mention they improved other aspects like the appearance of the game (the lead singer in GH III was an ugly mofo, and the cinematics in general are generally mediocre). Regardless this is a ridiculous debate. The reality is its only a matter of time before the decision is made to go ahead with Rock Band 2 and then it's a toss up for who appears to be better.
|
| |
Guitar Hero sucks so much ****
It's a pile of wank game who's makers are trying to make as much money out of it as they can before the craze is over!
It's not even that good
I dont care if it has good songs, I have good songs on my iPod
andd heyy if i really wanted to pretend I'm playing them whats wrong with a bit of air guitar man ;)
