This is definitely 2000s metalcore, not 2010s metalcore revival. I know that's being pedantic but I fell off that shit hard in the 2010s whereas I love the 2000s jawn.
Really digging what these dudes are doing, even if it's mostly derivative of the bands that came before them. More of this, less Octane slop.

2010s were the dark ages of metalcore agreed. Almost stopped listening to it entirely. That said, the radio friendly popcore shit dropping lately might be worse
| |
i fuck with this heavily
| |
shit is wack
| |
I don’t get the hype, this would’ve been shit on back in the 2000s for being generic metalcore.
| |
The sideburns, the fits, the flip phone, riserecords, these guys are dedicated to the bit and I respect it so hard. Nostalgiacore for lyfe
Song absolutely slaps
| |
it's a complete ripoff of misery signals, but it's pretty good
| |
More bands should ripoff Mis Sigs instead of Sleep Token
| |
agreed wholeheartedly
a misery signals clone is still a 3.5/5, borderline 4 is they nail it
| |
I mean bands were ripping off Misery Signals all through the 2000s anyway so its not like its too surprising
| |
More Misery Signals ripoff bands please. This rules. 2000s metalcore was peak. Raw, heartfelt, melodic, riffs..
As Hope Dies one of the best metalcore bands of this era
| |
nice return to form, hopefully this sound evolves further than where this went back in 2010 from more bands and doesn't morph into beartooth somehow like everything else did.
| |
Maybe we can accelerate the buttcore pipeline this time. Should be hitting the djent phase soon
| |
Saw the mis sigs shirt the first time but just noticing the since my beloved shirt
| |
Hell nah, avoid the djent phase at all cost. Worst metalcore era and reason why I completely lost interest for the genre 2010 until 2020 when the revivalcore era started
| |
song isn't for me, but the vid is going in hard on the mid-00s-early-10s metalcore aesthetic, which i can appreciate.
| |
waiter! waiter! more mis sigs ripoff bands please!
| |
I will take a thousand new bands ripping off Misery Signals over more Octanecore pop metal bullshit any day.
| |
Is this how old people feel when they hear a band aping Led Zeppelin
| |
^^^1,000% yes
| |
Greta Van Fleet for scene kids
| |
Love everything about this. The deliberately throwback-y music video, the fashion choices, the blatant Misery Signals worship, it's so good. I don't even care that it's derivative, I've missed this sound after countless Octanecore bands doing the same BS for the last decade.

meanwhile these guys will get nowhere near the recognition they deserve
| |
Feral boar sounds scary
| |
idk this stuff sounds really out of place to me personally but I acknowledge talent in this sound
| |
Revivalcore is truly a blessing.
| |
Metalcore with clean vocals and breakdowns when I was a teenager= True metalcore
Metalcore with clean vocals and breakdowns when I am an adult= Hot topic mallcore slop
| |
I think it just comes down to how the clean vocals are used. I like how in a lot of older metalcore they were injected sporadically to provide a change of pace or highlight an emotional part, as opposed to conforming to a rigid verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus structure like so much of metalcore (octanecore) has become.
