What the fuck was that

I don’t know if I even liked it but it was more interesting than where they left us

That's where I'm at lmao I was just stunned after hearing it. Noisy and weird but at least interesting. I also don't even know if I like it.

Well it did it’s job, I’m definitely interested in hearing if the album is a complete fucking train wreck or if it’s a complete masterpiece with this just sounding better in the context of the record… I feel like there’s no in between when *this* is your lead single lol

Honestly I just think it's pretty cool. More interesting than most of their second album was for me. bit of a psychobilly feel which is definitely welcome. I'm glad they're back.

Just give me some mathy riffs and catchy choruses and I’ll be a happy camper… it’s actually kinda crazy that they seemed to try to go more mainstream with their second record but not a single fucking chorus stuck as good as anything off the debut.

I truly hope these guys can pull it together and drop something good but I am not terribly optimistic. It’s been so goddamn long

first album was really really good but I'm not very fond of their new direction. Agrred about the choruses, they were so catchy on their first!

Okay after giving this some more thought and way more spins, I very heavily fuck with this song.

Yes, I miss the catchiness of their debut. However, Becca sounds AMAZING and I love the energy she brings. Very much looking forward to hearing what they've been cooking.

The debut came out 11 years ago. I’m afraid none of us are young, or free for the matter, anymore…

Them vocal effects are horrible. Hope rest of the album better as their debut was great

Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of hope. The debut feels like lighting in a bottle. The follow up wasn’t half as good, and I really dont expect them to have suddenly gotten better after 8 years gone.

Idk, I don’t hate the song but it’s very simple and doesn’t really have much of what I loved about their first record. The first record really is incredible and it’s absolutely insane that they wrote it while they were so young. Making songs that catchy and approachable while still being creative with the riffs and fills is very rare. It’s a shame they never really blew up off that first record alone. Not a single miss on the thing

1000% agree. I was completely FLOORED by their debut when it released, and I still go back to it every month or two. It's easily one of my favorites of the 2010's.

Don't get me wrong, as much as I like this new song (still like it more than most things off KWYKN) it doesn't hold a candle to their debut.

Like, Captivate You is a really soulful and well made ballad almost, then on the same record they can shift gears and make Vibetech, which could’ve been a fucking Dillinger escape plan song

That kind of versatility is extremely rare
