Busted re-record Greatest Hits 2023-04-16 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 12 Comments | To celebrate their 20th anniversary, British pop-rock trio Busted have announced a new UK tour as well as an album of 15 re-recorded tracks from their first two albums, each featuring a guest artist.
In interviews promoting their last effort, the more pop-punk oriented Half Way There, the group discussed their pre-breakup albums and the direction that producers and record executives wanted to push the band in, criticising the mix for, among other things, placing drums much lower in the mix in order to make songs more palatable for pop radio, so it is likely that these re-recordings will seek to rectify issues the band had with the original versions.
While details of the tracklist are not yet public, confirmed artists so far are Simple Plan, Neck Deep, McFly and controversially, All Time Low. The first track, "Loser Kid 2.0" featuring Simple Plan, has been released for streaming.

I heard busted when I was a kid and outside year 3000 hated them, what I go to school for has to be one of the worst written songs ever. Busted never really got played here in Australia though.

They released an album in 2019, then Covid happened and they each took a break to do other things (James released some solo material, Matt did whatever it is he does now, and Charlie made a solo album and won The Masked Singer).
