Devin Townsend albums delayed 2021-10-14 by Toondude | 17 Comments | Devin Townsend's upcoming albums, The Puzzle and Snuggles have been delayed yet again. The records were originally slated for an October 8th release, but was delayed to October 22nd, and now has been delayed again to December 3rd.
According to Devin, this is mainly due to a massive shortage in raw materials and plastics, preventing the physical releases, particularly the boxsets and vinyls, from getting completed and shipped out in time. Devin Townsend posted a video revealing more info about the situation.
The new dates for the albums is now December 3rd. Devin's next upcoming album Lightwork, scheduled for a March 2022 release, has not been affected as of yet.

Yeah so excited for these albums. Disappointed it’s delayed for so long, but Devy is super apologetic and I feel bad that he’s so stressed. Pretty sure his next album he’s currently working on was slated for March 2022, so I wonder if that will change

Devin is such a great guy for posting this, and I love seeing just how much he cares about his fans. Super excited for the albums! Snuggles in particular I'm even more excited

Devin my fellow BPLR soldier - I haven't seen you in person since 2010 on one of the DTP tours... he was a class act then - class act now (even class in the late 90's to take a dump in one of Steve Vai's guitar cases or show you the full devmoon on the Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing re-release)...
I can wait - it'll be more than worth it (tons of great bonus material is standard for him, after all)... the Puzzle hustle & the Snuggles struggle will come together resolved on me mum's b-day, no less

2 albums at once has me thinking one will be another goofball ziltoid socko album or something. i was a big fan of his last one but it seems like they are being treated as appetite-wetters for Lightworks

Nah according to Devin and the teasers, Puzzle will be a sort of noise collage thing and Snuggles will be ambient.
But not a noise collage like Devlab, more structured than that. I'm interested.
