The clips were too heavy on guitar and light on horns, but you can't judge the album my three short clips.

Thats quite the tough act to follow Intransit don't you think?

They can do it. EGN is awesome, but what I've heard of the new album, especially live, is definitely far better. They don't rely as much on upstrokes, and Tom does a lot of pretty insane shit on guitar.

And I'm pretty sure the length of the clips made it hard to decipher what the horns are doing, but from what I've heard again, they have some insane hornwork on the new album. Very TMV and eastern european influenced.

Oh, and if 4 fucking years wasn't long enough to make a better album than EGN, they are just merely incapable.

Yeah you can't judge anything based on those clips, since they could be in the middle of the songs, so you're not already aware of what's going on, it's like walking outside your door straight into a riot and your first thought is....wtf?

Or rather it's like starting a book half way through and compalining when you dont understand the plot.

I mentioned the riot because of the pace that the song was going at, but i suppose a book is the same...well at least a Dirty novel anyway...which...I...do not own.

Doesn't sound as good as the first one but the headline tour makes me happy.

Basically 31 seconds of awesome. ^^ I agree that it doesn't sound quite as good as EGN but I didn't think they would be able to top that album anyway. And they're coming to Australia, yay ^_^.

You all are idiotic for really judging this without even hearing a full song. Youtube some of their new songs before you pass judgment. Not that it matters anyway, most of you dipshits would probably say its worse than EGN (and by association, worse than Keasby Nights) because it's what makes you sound more tr00 kvlt.

I put the songs on repeat for half an hour and they've grown on me. We Will Fall Together sounds wicked.

So I just listened to a new song on Youtube, and all my potential fears are gone. It was awesome.

We Will Fall Together, along with Crash, sound like the two best so far.

The problem I have with streetlight is that they basically are too safe with their music. Oh and they know how to drag a song like no other until it's just at the point of ridiculously lengthy.

I'm loving the clips, can't wait to hear the rest of the tracks. It's about time as well.

I think the new songs are a bit improved in that department. Crash is a hair over 2 minutes long and I don't think it even repeats fully twice. Would You Be Impressed isn't even that long either, maybe 2 1/2-3 minutes.

But yeah, this record is supposedly more influenced by the Mars Volta and SOAD than Nirvana like their previous record. Fingers crossed.

I'm intregued, where'd you hear that? Big fan of Mars Volta and Streetlight, would be rather interesting.

All signs point towards October 23rd.

And Tomas mentioned it in an interview with Alternative Press at the beginning of the year.
