Best thing he's done in years imo, not saying a whole lot since Slaves' stuff until now was so mediocre, but still. Pretty sizable improvement.

Nothing new to see here. I see Jonny is still the only redeeming factor of this band.

^this

I'd love to hear him do some more of that alt-rockish solo stuff like back in 2009

"Slaves is everything Issues should be."
I don't think Slaves would be able to pull off the genre switches and RnB influence instrumentally (I have no doubt Jonny would be able to keep up with Tyler Carter however)

The best song they've ever done musically, and Jonny is fucking on point. If the rest of the album is this good, I'll be very excited.

I mean don't get me wrong, I dug Downtown Battle Mountain and Emarosa's self titled, but is just seems as though Jonny's voice is so well controlled here, and that the instrumentals really fit and boost him up further.

His lyrics also seems a lot more genuine here than they have in years.

okay and don't get me wrong this rules but its one song and nothing he ever does is gonna top DBM or the Emarosa S/T you'd know that if you weren't such a pleb god

fuck

This song's a hard 4.5/5 to me compared to Emarosa's self titled and DGD's DBM both being 4s for me.

This Slaves song is literally the perfect utilization of Jonny's talent.
