can do without it
|

3rd track is interesting
|
| |
employed to serve's memphis cover sounds dope
|
| |
Tracklist suggests 3.5
Band list suggest 2- 2.5
|
| |
trying to outdo the mcr covers in awfulness i see
|
| |
gonna be 3/15 worthwhile tracks on here heh.
|
| |
employed to serve's memphis cover sounds dope [2]
|
| |
Pretty curious to hear this actually
|
| |
Only ones worth hearing are Devin Townsend and Katatonia but theirs was already on Fall of Hearts anyway
|
| |
Hacktivist – Break Stuff (originally by Limp Bizkit)
5/5
|
| |
ughh I didn't even see that one. Easy 1/5 right there.
|
| |
my body is melting
|
| |
15. No Consequence – The Pot (originally by Tool)
oh boy
|
| |
"Only ones worth hearing are Devin Townsend and Katatonia but theirs was already on Fall of Hearts anyway"
and Employed To Serve
|
| |
Ones I'm morbidly curious about:
Asking Alexandria – Duality (originally by Slipknot)
Hacktivist – Break Stuff (originally by Limp Bizkit) (lol)
No Consequence – The Pot (originally by Tool)
Ones I'm actually looking forward to:
Devin Townsend – Fast As A Shark (feat. Wolf Hoffmann of Accept and Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah) (originally by Accept)
Katatonia – Night Comes Down (originally by Judas Priest)
|
| |
Hacktivist cover sounds wet
|
| |
there is no way this can be anything more than slightly better than terrible
|
| |
Yeah Hacktivist would do Limp Bizkit justice
|
| |
Limp Bizkit does not work with a strong British accent.
Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard's take on Scum is genuinely interesting, it's this really tripped out stoner metal version of it which is like twice as long as the original.
|
| |
Sounds better than any Punk Goes Pop album I'm gonna find at least
|
| |
been thinking about having one of my friends in the UK hook me up with a copy of this, if only for the Devy and Katatonia tracks.
|
| |
That moment where Korn is covering a Faith No More song
and some other band are covering an older Korn song
|
| |
Okay just jammed the album; The best on here is easily Cane Hill's cover of We Die Young by Alice in Chains. Next best follow ups are Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard's cover of Scum by Napalm Death, Counting Days cover of Disciple by Slayer, and Employed To Serve's cover of Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste by Norma Jean.
Asking Alexandria's cover of Duality is pretty lit instrumentally, but the vocalist was a bit lazy. New Years Day's cover of Mobscene is serviceable but it's rather boring, same with the cover Korn did, and the cover of Korn that was done.
The Limp Bizkit cover is undeniably the worst thing on here. The rest of the covers are either simply serviceable or forgettable.
|
| |
Oh yeah that happened on Rock Sound's Worships and Tributed album with Funeral For A Friend. Also had Hacktivist on it, doing a much more serviceable cover of Cypress Hill.
|
| |
Anyway is anyone gonna bother reviewing this?
|
| |
there's no way in hell a Cane Hill cover is better than Katatonia's cover of Night Comes Down
|
| |
"8. Hacktivist – Break Stuff (originally by Limp Bizkit)"
lol
|
| |
That preview of the Norma Jean cover sounded sick. Employed to Serve are excellent.
"Stoneghost – I Disappear (originally by Metallica)"
Who in their right mind would cover the worst Metallica song?
|
| |
I would review this but I have a backlog of stuff I still need to do for the webzine I write for including a Soilwork gig review sooo I gotta get those done first.
|
| |
I wanna check this out to see which ones are surprising and which ones make me laugh harder than I already think I will
|
| |
Boy bands everywhere
|
| |
british english accents generally don't really convey angsty aggression as well as american english does. Hacktivist's song sounds obviously neutered compared to the original but that goes without saying since they're not any good anyway.
oh wow if you play it at 1.25 speed it sounds unbelievably better.
|
| |
Sounds great if you dont play it at all
|
| |
The Qemists cover of Korn, if you take out the vocals, sounds roughly what Blind would sound like if Korn wrote it in their 2011-13 era.
