What is it with metalcore bands doing shitty re-releases with one or two extra tracks? Really pisses me off.
These guys are definitely one of the better groups at the moment though.

track is ok, kinda grew off these guys since their last record. at least in that i dont listen to them much
dont see a problem with reissues, it's just throwing a bone to fans who want something more
|
| |
reissues piss me off, especially a lazy one like this. It's just a cash grab, they could easily have just released this as a 4 track EP, rather than releasing the whole album AGAIN
Song is decent I guess, but nothing about it makes me want to buy the album again

This radio-friendly metalcore pisses me off so much. It's so dull and average.
|
| |
The Fallout and their first EP were a lot better imo, well-done theatrical metalcore.
|
| |
boring

"These guys are definitely one of the better groups at the moment though."
howd you figure that? ive always found them rather uninspired
|
| |
Awful band with an even worse name
|
| |
i always thought they were one of the better modern electro post hardcore bands or whatever it is
|
| |
Fucking Rise Records with the re-issues. The song is decent but I'm worried they'll pull a 'Restoring Force' for their next album.
|
| |
To hell with Rise Records and their cash-grab deluxe reissues. They do it because:
"Fuck you, give me money!"
P.S. Hope that they won't do the same with Coma Witch by The Acacia Strain.
|
| |
I definitely liked Runaways more than Fallout, hopefully they don't suffer from Rise syndrome
|
| |
meh...
|
| |
Lol Rise have responded to the reissue criticsm. From their twitter:
"1/2 People complain about reissues. 2 things to keep in mind: Bands want to get new tunes out mid-cycle & may not have time for a full album
10:08 AM - 8 Sep 2015"

Man if only there was something they could release that wasn't another album or a single... something extended that I could play perhaps?
|
| |
If they remastered the production/mixing, like they did with Memphis May Fire's latest album, I'd be fine with a re-issue that has some bonus songs. As it is, it's just a cash grab, and I don't really think the bands have much say.
|
| |
they were shit after the fallout
|
| |
The first 6 songs on The Fallout are still fucking jams tho.
|
| |
Limitless was the best thing they did, still give that the occasional jam
|
| |
Rise only re-releases albums that sell a lot.
|
| |
I agree with Mort. this band has always been trash.
|
| |
Rise Records bands are all fucking stupid nowadays. Here's what every Rise Records band does now:
Band: Create The Risecore
- Debut album: "A Way To Entertain With Generic Riffs" released 2015.
- Re-issue: "A Way To Entertain With Generic Riffs" re-released 2016 with two new tracks and two acoustic versions
- Second album: "Trying Djent To Show How Artistic We Are" released 2017.
- Re-issue: "Trying Djent To Show How Artistic We Are" re-released 2018 with two new tracks and two acoustic versions
Need I continue?

Rise tweeted that you can just buy the songs separately if you already have the original release. True, but why not just release this as an EP? Makes much more sense. Two new tracks are decent, the two rehashes are boring as shit
