Cardiacs announce benefit show

2015-03-14 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 4 Comments
Cult progressive punk legends Cardiacs will have a special benefit show taking place on May 2 in Salisbury, UK, to raise money for frontman Tim Smith's recovery from a heart attack/successive strokes suffered in 2008 at a My Bloody Valentine show.

Headlining the event will be Knifeworld, fronted by Cardiacs' second guitarist Kavus Torabi, with other sets from ex-Cardiacs keyboardist William D. Drake and His So-Called Friends, Jo Spratley (of Spratley's Japs, another Smith project), ex-Cardiacs guitarist Christian "Bic" Hayes and a number of other acts. All money from the show will be used to pay for Tim Smith's rehabilitation.

The band will also release, for a limited time only, a digipak reissue of the much sought after Day Is Gone EP in April, which can be preordered on their official webstore.
