I love these guys, but I think releasing an album after the classic that was Slaughter of The Soul is bound to draw a ton of disappointment.

I've never listened to this band before today even though I've intended to a million times. Now that I'm listening to Slaughter of the Soul, I realize how many bands pull their inspiration from At The Gates. Most notably, Unearth. The song Unto Others especially is just like clearly the inspiration for Unearth's existence.
