New Sleepless In December song

2013-02-24 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 11 Comments
Sleepless In December, a band formed by former Design the Skyline members Matt Ryan (vocals), Dean Ramirez (guitar) and Ethan White (guitar, vocals) have released a new song from their upcoming debut EP. The track, Living In Sequence, is available for streaming on YouTube. Ethan White left Design the Skyline acrimoniously in August 2011 shortly before the release of their debut album, Nevaeh, and was replaced by Dean Ramirez who himself left the band in 2012 along with Matt Ryan.

Believe the second sentence from Dats, and all of what sspedding said.

Little bit around 1:30 mark can go tbh, that ruins it a little bit for an overall pretty decent (imo) track.

much better than design the skyline, which isn't saying much at all

I think SID has lots of room to be a very good post-hardcore band. Some improvements on vocals might be nice but I have a feeling they're looking to try something away from Design the Skyline with this EP. They're under much less pressure to put out something that'll stop the wave of abuse that band got and they're starting from scratch, trying to find a new approach without anything from DTS to weigh them down, except for the naysayers that shoot them down because of their links to Design the Skyline.

Not the same style. DTS shot in all directions with a core (lol) deathcore sound rooted in what they did. SID on this song are showing signs of a post-hardcore direction, much less emphasis on trying to be heavy.

I honestly didn't mind DTS debut album. I didn't like it but that itself was a big ass improvement from that god fucking awful "Surrounded By Silence" song. I think that's what it's called. The one that's like "Through the forest! OHASODAOWDP!". Gonna check this out.

The wasn't all that bad. Synth line towards the end was badass. Some of the riffs were really good. Cleans are kind of annoying but not as high as some others in that genre. Huge improvement from DTS but still won't turn heads.
