Beastie Boys work on new album 2007-01-25 by Alex101 | 8 Comments | The Beastie Boys have been quietly working on a new studio record, the follow-up to 2004's To the Five Boroughs. Fans in Australia could get the first taste of the Beastie Boys's new material when they headline next month's Good Vibrations Festiva down under.
Speaking to Australian news site The Age, Mike D. joked that the new album "is actually really different ... [fans] can expect to be disappointed, they can expect to be angry at us." He continued, slightly more seriously, "It's always hard to know [how the album will turn out]. We still have a little of a way to go. I don't want to describe it too much because whatever I say might change. We are [still] in the middle of recording it."
The Good Vibrations Festival begins in Melbourne, Australia on February 10 and winds up in Perth on February 18. The Hip-Hop and Dance music-centric festival will also include Jurassic-5 among its many acts.
