Fantastic song.

Excellent clean vocals, in parts they resemble to those from Opeth.

Even though the cleans defnitely rule, they sound a little TOO much like Opeth imo

Voivod, the riff that stars at 0:54 doens't remind you of Thorns????

Absolutely.

And Virus.

And Ved Buens Ende.

This will probably be something out of the ordinary, even for Enslaved's standards.

If RIITIIR has more riffs like that then is 6/5 for sure! Yeah Virus and VBN also my friend. You are right!

The art of the new album would make really cool T-shirts.

May get myself one, because the art is sooo strong.

Pitchfork's not credible at all, though. Here's hoping they got that one right, though :]

the black metal vocals sound kind of weak this time around. oh well, it wont ruin the album. this is going to be awesome.

I'm no black metal fan, but even I can tell the vocals at the begining & end are LOL BAD.

Why are the scream vocals so loud in the mix? Wish they were put into a more raw environment too, they sound too crisp. They didn't mix the clean vocals as prominently.

Not like it matters anyway.

Ah well.

I liked that quite a bit. Vocals were meh to begin and end with but everything clicked soon enough. Album should be good to great I'm sure.

Not as good as "thoughts...", intro and outro riffs similar to the Mastodon's ones.

The funny thing is, they think they're credible.

RIITIIR moves with the enthusiasm and foolhardiness of work by a very average undergraduate composer.

Taken from the Pitchfork review. I know I haven't heard this but judging by their past efforts, get the fuck out of here. Compositionally, nothing stands up to these guys in the prog/ bm world.

Wizard knows all about Pitchfork's credibility. He grew up there. Can't you tell?

Hahahaha I read most of their metal reviews and laugh. I would assume most people who follow metal in general would know that Pitchfork's over-analysis to the dumbest of things makes them sound like idiots. They miss the point 99% of the time due to their self-indulgent wordfests.

I think some of them assume metalheads = meatheads. Too bad for them.

I will admit, 1% of the metal reviews they write, they do very well.
