So dubstep has officially hit its peak. Maybe now it will finally start its decline from the mainstream and I'll never have to hear skrillex or deadmau5 or any of these ridiculous people again.

The first part fine, if you don't know electronic music I guess accidents happen. But anyone with a working pair of ears should be able to realise the second part

deadmau5 and Skrillex are both pretty good producers who have such big heads that it's hard for them to make anything that's not homogenous. deadmau5 isn't dubstep and Skrillex is only dubstep with half of his songs.

Not that there isn't plenty of fantastic WUBWUBWUB chkchkchk WUBWUBWUB SKREEEE WUBWUBWUBWUB dubstep, too. (see: Zomboy, Downlink, Excision, DAL, etc etc etc), I'd argue that Skrillex is definitely on the higher chain of brostep.

also, I never got how Swarms is dubstep. I need to give it an in-depth listen but it more seemed like ambient/downtempo with more bassy drums and the click-clacks that dubstep is so fond of. Gorgeous stuff, tho.

Oh you know what I mean. If I listen to Eastern Promise I'm like "Oh okay this has a lot of ambience
but there are still plenty of dubstep elements" and when I listen to Chapel it's like "this seems like
really lush downtempo with a lot of samples and clickclack/bass drum"

I've been staring at that comment trying to figure it out. I know it's a diss but I'm not sure exactly what it's dissing. I guess that I don't know what future garage means or something.

anyway, I think this means I'm tired and I shouldn't go on Sputnik instead of sleeping at 4:30 when I'm bored.

Actually that was just me being half cuntish and half pedantic. Future garage is just another journalistic term (much like post dubstep) that was created so these journalists could try and understand what they perceived to be "grey areas" within the development of the UK bass scene. "This can't be garage, garage died. Must be future garage"
