US Court OKs Label Anti-trust Suit

2011-01-10 by Athom EMERITUS | 36 Comments
In a decision that opens the door to greatly impact the world of online music sales, the U.S. Supreme Court has decided not to impede an anti-trust suit filed by a group of music consumers that alleges that the big-four labels, Universal Music Group (UMG), Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and EMI Group, colluded to fix prices for the music downloads market back in 2001 when they tried to introduce their own downloading services.

Good, major corporations should be penalized for things like this. Fully unregulated capitalism is a far worse prospect than almost any other economic model.
