As I Lay Dying's fifth album, The Powerless Rise, will be released May 11th via Metal Blade Records. It was recorded and produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam D and is currently being mixed by Colin Richardson.

To coincide with the release of their upcoming album, the band has also announced a string of tour dates that will also include Demon Hunter, Blessthefall, and War of Ages. Tickets for these shows are currently on sale.

i had an idea in mind of what it is probably gonna look like, and it was almost dead on.
AILD needs to figure out the skill of creativity.

Album art doesn't equal the bands creativity guys. Jacob Bannon has done most of their album art previously, I wouldn't be surprised if this is him again.

The tour lineup is crap though. Just saying.

I've seen Blessthefall before (they were supporting August Burns Red, I talked to one of the guitarists after the show and he was pretty cool) but they were alright (however their lead singer did a pretty incredible dive into the middle of the crowd from the balcony which was about 15 feet above the crowd). I don't see how they're on a tour with As I Lay Dying and even Demon Hunter, but I digress. I'll probably go if it doesn't burn to big a hole in my wallet.
