02.01.23 | hahaha you said this possibly without realizing i might be the biggest trivium fanboy on this site! i totally get the hate cuz its total metallica worship, thats no lie, BUT there are UNDENIABLY awesome riffs on that album. anyone who can get past 19yo matt heafy's admittedly not-good hetfield impression will be richly rewarded with some awesome compositions. i'll fuckin' die on that hill. |

02.01.23 | @Joyful i'd count it depending on their sound before "switching" MTH is a clear example because they went from a 2012 release that sounded like 2012 rise records metalcore and pivoted to a style of nu metal that stood out a TON from the rest of their stuff and other bands around them at the time. modern nu-metalcore bands do not count in the same way IMO because their intent the entire time was to blend the two, not to depart from one in favor of the other. to say bands like korn and the devil wears prada have many more similarities than both being a part of different metalcore genres would be watering down their individual styles by a lot imo. |

02.02.23 | I don't dislike The Crusade because it's Metallica worship, even when I had my own Trivium phase I could never bring myself to find anything enjoyable on that record. But more power to you if you can! :) |

02.03.23 | i think moreso the stretch to nu metal is a bit too hard for me to justify with BFMV. i also grew up on them so i do definitely consider them metalcore even though a botch-head would wholly disagree haha |
