 | Feather Admittedly, I know little to nothing about JD outside of this book, so your opinion on him and the book could be drastically impacted by anything else you know about him or his actions outside of his own story telling.

| Feather Interesting. I just finished the book and you and I came to very different opinions on his views towards working class Appalachians. I felt like in the book he walked a tight line between loving where he came from and the people and sharing the external factors that have hurt them, while also sharing his 'pull themselves up by their bootstraps' mentality.
