    May 7 01:35 PM
  • mystagogus Thanks for those folky lists! With your taste, perhaps you could find this worth checking https://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/Din-Brad/147860/ | https://din-brad.bandcamp.com/album/dor
    April 9 07:22 AM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Agreed very strongly - l o v e that murky production for their sound, and what I've heard of their subsequent work (which has a much cleaner sound) doesn't quite command the same mystique. Second s/t album is in a similar vein though! Will hop on that Kenichiro Isoda, feeling a bit timed-out on new age and ambient atm but will inevitably come back to em soon
    March 10 12:05 PM
  • bighubbabuddha Thanks for trying it out. It's definitely a grower. It's biggest weakness is that the pace of movements changes very little throughout.

    December 4 01:25 PM
  • Voivod Looking forward to the new entry in your neofolk series!
    November 18 02:05 PM
  • Voivod I posted on the news, a stream for a new Exulansis album titled Hymns of Collapse, which is neo-folk. It turns out these guys have another new album this year titled Overtures of Uprising, described in a Bandcamp sound off as "black metal with violins". Both album should be interesting for you.
    November 18 12:12 PM
  • Voivod Usually, metal and classical/symphonic instrumentation are mutually cancelling in terms of dynamics, but Nattfly managed to merge the former into the latter.
    November 18 05:45 AM
  • Voivod Hi, I think you should listen to this asap, hint: black metal played exclusively with chordal instruments: https://nattfly.bandcamp.com/album/s-nger-f-r-den-kalla-modern

  • rellik009 i saw the Ceis album on your last list and i wondered if you had a link to download it cuz it sounds lovely as always :]
    November 10 09:28 AM
  • garas Turns out Obtained Enslavement is really good! So far I finished the first two LPs, and your observation turned out perfectly right. The similarities are crystal clear! I'm especially glad for it, because this might be a valuable info for an upcoming review! :]
    August 9 01:07 PM
  • garas Oh my bad! Sorry, I totally misunderstood. I don't know that band at all, but they seem promising! Thanks for the rec!! ;]
    August 7 12:54 PM
  • garas I was never into Enslaved that much, but I also feel that Emperor vibe. The riffs are typical Finnish style stuff though, but the overall sound is awesome. The closest one I could think of is Vargrav, but this is less cheesier than that, haha.
    August 7 06:41 AM
  • garas Dude, you gotta hear the new Warmoon Lord album! https://warmoonlord.bandcamp.com/album/battlespells

    July 16 09:22 AM
  • DungeonBoy Aw, thank you so much for that feedback :) It's the album I've been wanting to make since I started recording instrumental stuff, and I think the compositions have improved a lot as well. I really appreciate you listening to it, thanks again, it makes me want to keep improving :)
    June 7 06:25 PM
  • DungeonBoy Hey Elynna, just wanted to let you know that the new Rota Fortunae album is out now if you wanted to give it a listen. I made a list with a couple links to the stream and would love to hear your thoughts on it: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=594971
    June 7 02:52 PM
  • rellik009 ayyy glad you liked it :] We Slept At Last is indeed a banger... or should I say, a folker ;D
    April 4 07:13 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD also the DM bits on last couple of tracks are pretty cool too, surprising release tbh, but yeah, maybe nothing too special. Have you seen the girl's pics and imagery? XD
    April 1 09:47 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I think so too! She s pretty awesome. I also like how she merges folk and acoustic but keeping the songs super agressive.
    April 1 07:33 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Its bm follkish synthy, one girl project you must check. Yeah its that part of the year where you think you got it all controlled and suddenly you drowned lool cheers.
    March 30 03:27 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Have you checked Hulder?
    March 30 03:07 PM
  • rellik009 hey Elynna czech out Marika Hackman, she's a sweet and lovely contemporary folk singer-songwriter, kind of in the vein of Ichiko Aoba but with more electronics. Especially czech out the one with the album cover that has a lot of blue on it (can never remember the name).
    March 29 09:06 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Mare's closer is omfg kind of love for me XD
    March 29 08:35 AM
  • garas I couldn't agree more! Flutes are sometimes annoying, but in Hiraeth's case it is part of the album's charm - or something like that, haha. I'm stuck in a replay loop. Might review it too.
    February 5 04:31 PM
  • garas Hey! I think this will be interesting for you: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=386963

  • DDDeftoneDDD I am. Indeed had them under the radar! TKS for reminding me!
    February 3 12:26 PM

    January 5 02:18 PM
  • rellik009 You're welcome dude, I knew you'd love it! ;] Fav track? Mine is 'Rhizome'. The soloing on that one is just insane levels of epic haziness.
    January 5 02:04 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Uff that rec seems solid af. Will jam (prob after xmas as well)
    December 23 05:46 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Hey maybe you are the right person to rec this...check VETUR - Vist. I think you'll like it.
    December 22 04:16 PM
  • rellik009 two other albums you'll probably like: 'kreiz Da Faz by Startijenn and Captured Spirits by Mammal Hands. I know I'm being random, but I hope you'll enjoy all of these nonetheless! :]
    December 10 08:45 PM
  • rellik009 yo bud judging on your taste there is a high chance you'll like Estradasphere - It's Understood. Not saying it'll be mind-blowing, but give it a try.
    December 10 08:41 PM
  • garas Nice to see I'm not the only one who didn't like the new Carach Angren.
    July 15 11:43 AM
  • Panzerchrist Hey, I saw your soundoff and wanted to let you know that Stefan reactivated Mithotyn's facebook account almost immediately after the last Falconer album dropped. Good chance we'll be getting more Mith material here soon

    October 18 05:28 PM
  • lalchimiste Hey, thanks for the rec. I actually jammed it last friday and was really impressed. I remember really digging the post-rock/metal tones with a nice balance of doomish riffs to blasty parts. Will definitely give it more listens, thanks !
    November 28 10:01 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD yeah. I like a lot that Slugdge too, tightly followed by Hourrendous.
    November 5 01:34 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Glad you like hooded menace m/
    November 4 07:17 PM
  • ScuroFantasma I gave the album a go, it's nice enough but I have the same problem with it I recall having with the debut, it just doesn't have enough grit for my taste, y'know? It's pretty, and the melodies are nice, but there's something missing, it's too clean for me. I'll give it another listen with headphones and see if my opinion changes though, thanks for bringing my attention to it in any case (:
    October 26 06:06 AM
  • ScuroFantasma Cheers for the rec, I'll jam it tonight (: If it's anything like the latest Evilfeast I'll be very happy.

  • necropig Awesome. Get yourself a proper download rather than yt qaulity. There's a lot going on. Yeah I've listened to both of them. Haven't rated either though as I'm a twat.
    January 24 10:30 PM
  • necropig also try Macabre omen - gods of war at war. Greek, good shiz.
    January 24 10:08 PM
  • necropig Quick browse there and I'd recommend you check Odium - the sad realm of the stars. Weakling - Dead as Dreams (essential imo)

    January 24 09:42 PM
  • necropig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6N9CW2b2VE The first I linked is missing an essential transition from track 1 to 2. Can't have you missing out.
    January 24 08:28 PM
  • necropig Yeh it shat itself as usual. That's cool. Sure, sometimes the repetition is good on occasion but hey. Give this one a go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swuZzfn8cuY

    November 28 09:57 PM

  • cor22222 I have Agalloch on my list, gonna check rest of your suggestions.
    November 21 09:23 PM
  • cor22222 What do you recommend to listen from black metal?
    November 21 06:13 PM
  • Jom I appreciate your artist edits, but no accent marks, please. Any time umlauts, tildes, etc. are in the queue, they turn to indecipherable characters, which makes artists difficult to find (especially if the artist name is only a few characters; e.g. Lor). Cheers!
    September 19 12:28 PM
  • ThisIsTheApocalypse Really love them favorites
