| Voivod Don't mention it man :-). Being Greek, I was drawn by the band name and then by its genre. Not too often, one comes across new power/progressive metal outfits these days. That said, I wish there was a renaissance of the sort like the '80s and the '90s, in the US and elsewhere.

I've known about Bungle for some time but never really checked them about beyond a few songs whenever I needed something to fit the particular vibe. Glad I'm finally sitting down and listening start to finish because that album's back half is loaded with heavy hitters, also the follow up is even better and I still have to listen to California. | kildare Also, there is no way I'm your only power metal list follower. Too bad views are invisible, but I would bet low thousands at least. Power Metallers are just quieter as a population, no? On Sputnik everyone has to be willing to mosh, and in the thrash- and hardcore derivative genres moshing is an expectation, whereas in P-Metal not quite as much. Anyway, glad you're in the pit, and looking forward to your 2024 end list if Sputnik still lives.

But on his shallow political sloganeering about fiendishly complicated problems, he has apparently deluded himself that he is some kind of authority. (I hypothesize that you have AmeriKKKant and the latest album in mind?) It is sad, really, because I am usually horrible at processing the meaning of lyrics, but even I notice some his recent rantings, and they tend to distract me

| kildare I know you're not a Ministry fan or anything, but it's funny that like Pantera he's tried for decades to bury his first record, which is straight-up Pet Shop Boys' style Synthpop. But it has fans and he didn't own rights, so he could never take it out of print

Too bad the record is not streamed, nor does it seem to be available on disc. And I dont care for disc-digging on YouTube since they are not tracked, but like Frosts Cold Lake I guess it will have to do until they release it some other way

I always assumed Cowboys was their first record, and I just discovered they had a previous career in the Hair genre. They apparently went through a perfect reverse-transformation from Celtic Frost.
