07.11.24 | It's a Last.fm thing. Also, I wish I was vacationing right now. Just trying to find a job in this god awful job market, while juggling college, and trying to find time to write reviews in between all of that |

07.11.24 | scrobbles are like those things that cling to your butt hairs when you wipe.
I wish you much success in your job and academic pursuits, AnimalForce! Hopefully you still find time to engage with things that bring you joy. |

07.11.24 | Thank you! I'm still able to engage thankfully, though it boils down to a lot of mindless consumption atm and less actual writing |

07.11.24 | so scrobbles are basically listens? also im confused as to why people listen using last.fm. isnt it inferior to spotify and apple music as a music platform? just curious |

07.11.24 | Last.fm was tallying music waaaay before Spotify or Apple Music were things. My account is roughly 15 years old by this point but there is probably a 5 year stretch where I never bothered to update stuff to track. But it's a neat time capsule regardless

07.11.24 | last.fm isn't a streaming platform, it just tracks what you listen to. i listen mostly on spotify and mp3's, but the thing I like about last.fm is you don't have to wait until the end of the year for spotify wrapped to tell you what your favourite band is. You get way more statistics in real time, accessible whenever you want.
also same Christbait. made my account in 2010 but only started using it again last year. |

07.11.24 | It tracks what you listen to on streaming platforms like Spotify? I use Apple Music and it sucks ass at tracking what you listen to |

07.11.24 | Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Youtube you name it. As long as it has access to your accounts it'll track it. Even whatever is in your local library. Check out Pano Scrobbler for phones. |
