Wildcardbitchesss 07.16.23	Which is it? Both are absolute classics and would both probably land in my top 20 movies of all time. And goddamnit “I know now why you cry…” scene, straight waterworks every time. A grown ass man crying over the death of a robot. Personally though, as I’ve gotten older I prefer T1. I like the low budget smaller scale of things, and Kyle Reese is straight up one of the best characters in all of film. I like the horror vibe too. At least in T2 they stood a chance with another terminator on their side but with T1 you get the constant feeling that Kyle and Sarah are fucked. That and boobies

Wish Cameron did more with the franchise. 3 and Salvation are competent (the latter I honestly think is underrated), but man Dark Fate and Genisys are hot trash. Really wish they would’ve continue with the Salvation storyline. Christian Bale was a great John Connor, and I actually really enjoyed Sam Worthington too. And hard RIP to Anton Yelchin. Guy was an insanely talented actor and was probably my favorite part of the film.

CaliggyJack 07.16.23	Terminator 2 is straight up one of the greatest Scifi films ever made. Terminator 1 was a boring slog with impressive CGI for its time. Overrated af. Terminator 3 is a good finale, not perfect, but I liked it. Salvation was fine, some flaws but great action scenes. Genisys is one of the worst movies ever made. Dark Fate has great action scenes. That's about it.

Wildcardbitchesss 07.17.23	The Raid 2 is actually my favorite action movie, but I do like Die Hard more than T2 Die Hard is just cinematic perfection. Not a single weak link in that film. And Bruce Willis is just a much better actor than Arnie (or was at least, shame what he’s going thru right now). But it doesn’t really matter in Terminator because he’s supposed to be this emotionless killer.

bellovddd 07.17.23	Paxton carried Predator 2 and made it watchable. I was so upset when he died when I was a kid. Loved him in this little comedy horror called 'The Vagrant' Basically a one man movie of him going crazy its good fun. Paxton in true lies is still one of the funniest performances I've seen ' DICKLESS' LOL

But its brilliant (and prescient) sci-fi premise elevates it no end. “1 has too much neon.” Scientifically the correct amount of neon. Tested in labs, peer reviewed and shit. No real preference between 1 and 2… have always loved both as one cohesive whole. Fuck everything that came afterwards… franchise, brand recognition bullshit.

IsisScript80 07.17.23	^ I never found Furlong annoying... his role in the movie was to be obnoxious, as a contrast to the great leader he was meant to become, and I always thought he filled that role perfectly. I thought this worked better than the plethora of '80s movie sidekick kids who were intended to be likeable but were unintentionally annoying.

I personally like the slower kind of action movie that puts more attention on the build up so I have to go with T1. To me, none of the Action in T2 topped the police station from T1. Both movies are classic's though.
