Beardog's 2015 list

Some of the album's I checked out in 2015 that I liked.
1Earthside
A Dream In Static

For everyone that loves prog-metal, this gem is seriously overlooked in the Sputnik community. It's a debut, which makes this even more impressive. Superb production, amazing guest vocalists. It's epic prog-metal that is technical without being wanky!
2The Dear Hunter
Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise

Never heard of this band before but this album is an amazing combination of symphonics & alt rock.
3August Burns Red
Found in Far Away Places

Loved Rescue & Restore and this is basically a part II of this album so yeah it's great.
4Leprous
The Congregation

I also found out this band in 2015 and they are amazing as well. Progressive metal that's actually innovative. This isn't just a copy cat of most prog-bands you heard before but is really something new. Their latest album is a bit more simplistic but the atmospheres they make are great.
5Soilwork
The Ride Majestic

These guys dropped a great album as well this year, just like in 2013.
6Stories (AUS)
The Youth to Become

Being a djent-band and becoming an Underoath rip-off isn't something most bands do but this worked out pretty well.
7Tremonti
Cauterize

Very solid, although it's a bit formulaic.
8Periphery
Juggernaut: Alpha / Omega

Most songs here are awesome but it has some really awful moments.
9I the Mighty
Connector

Really fun post-hardcore/alt rock
10Amorphis
Under the Red Cloud

Lovely combination of progressive metal and melodic death metal, with superb production and some amazing melodies.
11Haunted Shores
Viscera

Just some great albums that I haven't really checked out this year
12Kronos
Arisen New Era
13SikTh
Opacities
14Totem Skin
Weltschmerz
15Cult Leader
Lightless Walk
16Arcane Roots
Heaven and Earth
17The Devil Wears Prada
Space

this dissapointed me
18Bring Me the Horizon
That's the Spirit
19Between the Buried and Me
Coma Ecliptic
20Intronaut
The Direction of Last Things

I don't see why everybody loves this
