11.04.25 | a zine is pretty ambitious. honestly you got a ton of information, which is cool as a proof of concept. im sure once you get a graphic designer to spice things up from a brick of text things will be looking better.
super cool that you're promoting local bands, I have a simular idea but for my music website. good luck with it, im sure it'll take a lot more work to develop it. |

11.04.25 | thanks guys! the wall of text was defs an economical decision, trying to minimize page count to keep costs down. its also designed around a standard letter paper folded in half so there isn’t a lot of surface area to get creative with, but I would love to experiment with a larger format and more fun designs in the future. It cost me 170 CAD to print 100 copies and I gave them all away for free so I’m not making any money off of this either. |

11.04.25 | Cool, I love zines. The wall of text doesn't bother me, I also like the overall composition. Good you promote your local music scene, mine is like 3 bands and they all play grunge lol. |

11.04.25 | yeah, I was thinking about that. giving them away for free is a pretty crazy concept to me but I respect the grind. i'll get to reading the full thing sometime this week. |

11.04.25 | That's awesome! Basically exactly what I'd want from a zine tbh with a lot of smatterings of news and bands. |

11.05.25 | Gonna check it out on my lunch break, before covid I did a zine for my local music scene and got to meet some cool people through that |
artificialbox
11.05.25 | hell yeah, as a bit of a chronic loner that’s been one of the best parts about doing this for me as well, especially getting to meet other people in the city who are also making punk zines, its really cool to see all the different ways that people approach the medium. |

11.05.25 | Sick! Good to see you posting here too man. |

11.05.25 | Dude this was super awesome to peruse, love seeing the support for your local music scene. I will have to check out some of those local acts if they have some music on streaming or something. Always amazed at the cool stuff the sput community works on outside of sputting. |

11.05.25 | Super cool man. Would LOVE to get something like this quarterly for my city. Especially if it could include when some upcoming shows for the next quarter were. Well done. |

11.05.25 | thanks yall
@feather My original idea was to have a show calendar in the back but it would have been a ton of work to keep track of everything and then those pages would become redundant as time went on and the shows passed, so instead I used the last page to list a bunch of instagram accounts that post show flyers of local events, thought that was a happy compromise |

11.05.25 | i feel like most who say support your local scene just pay lip service to feel good about themselves. you are actually doing the work and helping promote bands that deserve it. awesome work my friend. i love this flipbook site, very readable and a cool style. hope this is something that takes off for you. clearly you have the passion and will put in the work that many won't. |
Aids
11.06.25 | Hell yeah. I'm in vancouver, I'll check this out!
Unfortunately i have bad taste in music but i will read this anyway |

11.06.25 | thanks futures ❤️
and hell yeah Aids hope you find something cool in there.
If nothing else I highly recommend checking out the new record from the band I interviewed for some high quality post-hardcore. |

11.10.25 | Very cool project man! The stripped down design might actually work, given the overabundance of flashy layouts in magazines/websites today (a bit more of color wouldn't be a bad idea though).
All in all, congratz, and I hope your hard work pays off. Cheers! |
