| Misfits Albums Ranked: Worst to First
Happy Halloween shitheads | 6 | | Misfits The Devil's Rain
The Devil’s Rain is the only Misfits record I wouldn’t recommend. It’s commendable that Jerry tried doing something different, basically releasing a straightforward metal record; but it really seems like he bit off more than he could chew. Misfits were a horror punk band for a reason, because this just doesn’t work. A couple decent tunes, but you’re not missing anything by skipping it.
Best Track: The Black Hole
Spook Level: Reassuring | 5 | | Misfits Earth A.D./Wolf's Blood
This is probably the heaviest record in the Misfits catalog, which helps it stand out amongst the rest of their discography. As much as I love the material present on this record, it does come across as a little unfinished. The microscopic run-time is what holds it back from being a classic for me.
Best Track: Devilock
Spook Level: Alarming | 4 | | Misfits American Psycho
I consider Michael Graves era Misfits to be one of the most underrated bands of the 90s. Every track is a banger, plus some copies came with a poster inside; so there really isn’t anything negative I can say about it. Putting this at 4th hurts considering how much I love it, but I sadly can’t place it any higher on the list.
Best Track: Shining
Spook Level: Horrifying | 3 | | Misfits Walk Among Us
Fun, short, catchy, and straight to the point. The way all good punk records should be.
Best Track: I Turned Into A Martian
Spook Level: Terrifying | 2 | | Misfits Static Age
It’s crazy to me how the best tracks Misfits ever recorded with Danzig never made it onto an actual studio album prior to this. Everything on here slaps harder than almost every track that appears on Walk Among Us or Earth AD. A certified hood classic, but not my absolute favorite.
Best Track: Bullet
Spook Level: Petrifying | 1 | | Misfits Famous Monsters
Cry about it.
Best Track: Them
Spook Level: Spooked Solid | |

11.01.21 | Don't get me wrong, the Danzig era is amazing; but I prefer Glenn's work with Samhain more than his work with Misfits. | Sinternet
