LINKIN PARK FULL ALBUM METAL REMIX

Hey guys, I finally finished this 2-year project! I spend a lot of time making this the best it could be and I got completely lost in the little details... So glad it's done though. I remade this record in all the sub-genres of metal I love, and some songs have very obvious hints of my favourite artists. I got the idea to take on this massive project because I was the biggest LP fanboy when this record came out and I probably listened to it atleast 100 times. Looking back at that cringeworthy period of my life, I still had a lot of love for this album, and since I made a metal remix of Castle of Glass when I was younger, I just decided to make this record something I would thoroughly enjoy. Please check it out and tell me what you think! https://karslandman.bandcamp.com/album/living-things-metal-remix-wip

Lost in the Echo: This track always had a metalcore vibe to me, so I decided to make it something like that. Ofcourse it isn't only 00000 because the idea was to make this track something I enjoy. I feel like the remix gave this track a lot of energy, which I felt was lacking in the original version.

In My Remains: Punk and hardcore are genres I also frequently listen to, so I had to atleast make one remix in that style. I think this worked out really well, although the ending isn't as punky. Also features a guitar solo by Joshua Meijer, with whom I made my exam-project, which got high acclaim here!

Burn It Down: tried to make this more of a black metal song, in the style of Enslaved with blast beast, and loads of double bass. This doesn't necessarily make it a very heavy song though, since the outcome sounds more like a melodeath song. Failed to reach my goal on this one, but I still like the result.

Lies Greed Misery: the most generic djent song you probably ever heard, but it fits this song unbelievably well. I hate the original, and I think this song was improved the most.

I'll Be Gone: I felt like this track could be a lot more epic, especially after hearing the demo for it; Primo. I wanted to make this song more like the demo version, and add more ambient and post-rock vibes.

Castle of Glass: Like I said, I made this around 3-5 years ago, and it's pretty awful. Tried to keep close to the original, while still trying to make it atleast decent.

Victimized: Another really big change compared to the original, it starts very atmospheric but get's pretty heavy. Not too fond with the heavy parts but I think the little rap section and the atmospheric parts are really nice.

Roads Untraveled: This one's a massive Opeth rip-off. Went for a Blackwater Park sound while still implementing some of my own style. It's a shame I can't play acoustic guitar cause some nice fingerstyled melodies would be nice.

Skin to Bone: Love the original, tried to make it more epic by adding strings and piano.

Until It Breaks: the original is a mess, this one is a billion times worse. Features jazz, black metal, and some regular riff/chugs. I really hate the original so I'm glad I atleast made a tolerable version. I think the solo at the end is the best part.

Tinfoil & Powerless: Combined the two tracks, cause they flow into eachother so nicely. This track is BY FAR my favourite, it sounds like modern Katatonia and everything just works so well...

Living Things: Acapellas & Instrumentals

Also made the instrumentals of all the tracks available. I'd love to hear your opinion on this! Thanks for listening!
