we made a song that has 11 styles of rock

Hey guys! Me and a friend of mine made a song for our examproject. We set a goal to mix the sub-genres of rock into one song, while keeping every sub-genre recognizable. The song also had to flow well. The sub-genres featured in chronological order are: Rock 'n' roll, blues rock, grunge, pop rock, folk rock, progressive rock, hard rock, metal, punk, pscychedelic, indie Feel free to leave a comment and tell us what you think! https://karslandman.bandcamp.com/album/pws
1Chuck Berry
Johnny B. Goode

Each sub-genre is mixed in a particular style to have it's own vibe, some things are the same to add to the cohesiveness.
2B.B. King
His Definitive Greatest Hits

Lyrics for each sub-genre are written in the style of the sub-genre
3Nirvana
Nevermind

Which means that the lyrics here sound like a typical grunge record
4Coldplay
X & Y

Some genres were really hard to pull off, pop rock isn't really a genre that's easy to define.
5The Animals
House of the Rising Sun

Some were a lot easier though
6Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here

This one is also pretty obvious
7Aerosmith
Toys in the Attic

Hard rock was actually pretty hard as well, since the style changed so much in the years
8Metallica
Master of Puppets

Couldn't find a band that really fitted our rendition of 'heavy metal'
9Rise Against
The Sufferer and the Witness

This one is a bit more pop punk, but we both like this band a lot so it's obviously inspired by these guys
10The Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Psychedelic was insanely hard to pull off and it probably sounds nothing like it
11Shy Technology
Getting Rich, Staying Poor

This one features backing vocals by Joshua's girlfriend, who is a big indie fan and helped us a lot
