Very consistent album, but was there the need to replay some of their older songs from the self-titled instead of just making new songs. This feels more like a compilation album than an LP. Still, it is a great jazz fusion album. |

Plini Mirage | 3.5 |
The desert sun is blazing, the sweat trickles on the back of my neck while I'm down on my knees. I thirsty, hungry, possibly gonna have heat stroke. And then, a fuzzy image appears in the distance. I draw near it, itching closer to it's presence. Could it be? Did a god bless me? Even better, I have been saved! It was Plini with a sick new LP. It was a bit hazy, but I could hear his long scale bends and warm and natural flavor of prog. He finally came back, even though he already did other singles this year that no one gave a shit about, but THANK GOD HE IS BACK! I had it at my fingertips, it felt so real. And just like that, it was just a mirage. It was gone, nowhere to be seen, just some plastic bottled water with some bread. |

By the gods, from the gods, for the gods. My only complaint is it's too short and too good. My theme song is going to be Poseidon, and that track will give me the strength to chokehold Andrew Tate into submission. Of course, he would pass out because he would be too stubborn to accept defeat. |

Spread mayo on the other toast slice, and form the sandwich. Enjoy! |

Overall, a solid 3.5 for the whole SZNZ. Every part
captures each season very well, except for Summer.
The formula is as usual as a nice sunny day, but
some of the lyrical choices is like an annoyingly
cold breeze. Rivers has a good voice, Spring
captures Springs perfectly (in it's good parts), and
most of all it sounds like Weezer. It's no Blue
Album, but it's a fun record to end the year to. |

Grind as a whole is something I'm not used to. Sure, I've listened to Cannibal Corpse and

cooked the mutilated turkey before Thanksgiving. The technicality is very mathcore and the
guitar work is solid, but the outro song is the least savory cranberry sauce they have to
offer. Despite the few bumps, it's a nice return for the Black Friday season. |

4.7. What a gem! The tones of the guitars, synths, bass, vocals, all of it! They fit together so perfectly, it's hard to decide which song is the best. |
Regurgitate Carnivorous Erection | 1.0 |
Ew, fuck! If I listen to this album one more, I swear I'm going to hurl. Props for the album cover Jesus, the hell is that?! |
Pinback Summer in Abaddon | 2.5 |
Idlewild The Remote Part | 3.5 |
Really cool album. The sound they produce is phenomenal, however I found myself trying to push through the more softer songs that feel almost monotone. Synths, digital beats, and R.E.M influence kind of gives me the idea of what they were going for, but it's just not my thing (Except for R.E.M I like those guys). But yeah, I don't hate it. |

Snoopy is able to clap Thanos's cheeks with this album, it's THAT good |
Knocked Loose A Different Shade of Blue | 4.0 |
4.1 Might be my favorite Knocked Loose album, despite the same formula that's
in every song. I love how each song has their own specialty about it, whether it would be
slow and foreboding or fast and pissed, it's one of the coolest I have listened to. |
TotorRo Home Alone | 4.0 |
Sunami Demonstration | 4.0 |
I've heard of some stupid but this is stoopid crazy SUNAMI IS FUCKING MY MOM TONIGHT!!! |
The Callous Daoboys Die on Mars | 3.5 |
Landed at 3.7 for this Daoboy album. It's a great album for the mathcore scene, but it has too much of the average shit I hear. While it might be fun to listen the *chug squel chug squel* breakdowns, they used it like 3 or 4 times and bored me before the fun chaotic panic notes kick in. Overall, I would listen again. I just need to skip over a few (Cobra Winfrey especially). |

Garden Dreams has a cool sound and everything, but only two songs stand from the others. I would recommend listening to Government Switch and Lawless, Proud first. |

For being a demo, this is not bad. Last track had a bit of a weird sound at the beginning, but kept its steady pace afterwards. |
Vein.fm This World Is Going to Ruin You | 4.5 |
Vein.FM sure did go experimental on this one. I'm not going to diss on Errorvone, but This World Is Going To Ruin You had more variation to their tracks, keeping the album slightly more interesting. Lyrics are a bit of a step down, but its aggressive mathcore slash nu-metal influence is what we really come for. |
Vein.fm Old Data in a New Machine, Vol. 1 | 3.5 |
No Pressure No Pressure | 4.0 |
This one is really hard to rate. The amount of energy in every track is so exciting to
keep track of this LP's score (I should probably get a pen and paper next time). But what
I picked up from this, it's as fun and catchy as the EP (Both Sides, Stuck Here), but has
some of those weirdly quick ones just like the EP (Too Far, Same Thing). All of that
aside, No Pressure once again proves that 90s punk rock is not dead. |
Origami Angel Quiet Hours | 4.5 |

Origami Button Button Season | 3.5 |
Christian And The Hedgehog Boys Christian and the Hedgehog Boys | 1.5 |
Trying effort since he was autistic and didn't have a stable mind back then. The Chris Chan lore is pretty vast, so I don't want this album to go away. |
Showing Off To Thieves Everyone Has Their Secrets | 4.0 |
I found this band a whike ago on Soundcloud, and thought it was pretty neat. It's a shame that there isn't a lot of info on the band, because the sound was quite unique for the alternative underground scene (Combination of Panic! At The Disco and Blakfish). It's a near 4.5 for me, since the quality isn't the best in some of the tracks. |
fromjoy the deafening sound of doubt | 3.5 |
Black Matter Device AUTONOMOUS WEAPONS | 4.0 |
Fun chaos this is! The LP is very Vein.FM, but I got some Blakfish vibes from it as well, with super groovy riffs and not-so-screamy vocals from other bands. I wish it had more melodic parts added into here. |
fromjoy only here | 4.0 |
If Vaporwave and Vein.fm had a baby, then this is what you would get. |
Beartooth Disgusting | 4.0 |
Turnstile Glow On | 4.5 |
GLOW ON sure is one dreamy kick-ass album that gets ya dancing at the mosh pit. With
hardcore chords, twinkly electronic parts, and lyrics full of attitude, I regretted that I
slept on this album just because of Fly Again. |

xSPONGEXCOREx Bikini Bottom Beatdown | 4.0 |
(Counting this as the entire discography) Ridiculous, heavy, and PINK! That's how I would describe xSpongexCorex. The gimmick might be stale and a few tracks have weird production (Ex. Forever), though the project lives up to its name. The riffs were heavy, the audio samples were fun, and it felt like a big adventure in the Bikini Bottom. So whenever I feel like throwing down, find me in the Krusty Krab. |

Is this the Krusty Krab? No, this is the most hardcore shit you'll ever hear! |
Lower Than Atlantis Lower Than Atlantis | 3.5 |
Wasn't their best, but wasn't their worse. I can give credit to their catchy melodies and somewhat clich lyrics because they were just doing something different. Here We Go is for sure their best song on here, but keep away from Words Don't Come So Easily. |
Moon Tooth Phototroph | 4.5 |
Who knew you could make thrash, blues, prog, and stoner rock sound so epic and refreshing? I sure goddamn didn't! Every track explodes with groovy scales, great drum work, some of the best vocals, and badass determination. If you're having your doubts, then wait for Nymphaeaceae, probably the best song on this masterpiece. This could very well be AOTY. |
Vein.fm Errorzone | 4.5 |
Hardcore bands are meaning a lot to me right now. The absolute insanity and hurt that Errorzone is coming from definitely deserves its spotlight. Its fast opener Virus://Vibrance strikes the mood with its nu-metal influence and alien sounds, with other tracks having neat add-ins like backup vocals and choruses. The future they tell seems dark, but the story they live looks bright. |
Brand of Sacrifice Interstice | 4.0 |
This Slaps Cock! Chugs, growls, and orchestra was all pleasing to the ear. There were a
few rough patches in the middle of the EP (Conviction), but it was a banger either way. |
The Beatle Bronies Apple Road | 1.0 |
Look, I know this is for fans of brony culture and all. But imagine a little old lady who is a die-hard Beatles fan coming across this. Or any Beatles fan! Mixing two things together should be done carefully, and that's why everyone hates this! Look, I've watched My Little Pony when I was young and loved it, but the community is garbage and that's why I stay away from this. |
xSPONGEXCOREx The Panty Raid | 4.0 |
It amazes me how creative and bored people can get. It's literally just Spongebob audio clips played over hardcore metal. But it works so well that even Knocked Loose would shit their pants listening to this. Some tracks are a little too copy and paste, yet that's just the fun of it really. This is proof that metal can be fun again! Oh, one last thing, I think I heard him using mayonnaise as an instrument |
Sunami Sunami EP | 4.5 |
Anal Trump The First 100 Songs | 3.5 |
Ok, this is hilarious! The fact that all of these songs are less than 10 seconds long with different tempos and surprisingly groovy chugs make this quite impressive. But it ain't the best. The one dude's goblin vocals are kinda cringe and kill the mood through some of this. But, I am a fan of this. I did find Trump somewhat funny, and I can't wait to hear more. |
Blakfish See You In Another City (plus b-sides and raritie) | 4.0 |
No Pressure No Pressure EP | 4.5 |
Just a great debut! I liked how catchy their songs were and how fast paced it gets. But a few times, the guitars, drums, and vocals are so fast that we're given 1 or 2 minute tracks. Pushing that aside I like this EP. No Pressure at all. |
No Pressure Can't Forget | 4.0 |
Very nice! This was fast paced, catchy, and refreshing to listen to. I like it alot, even if the drummer had a sketchy history. |

Brand of Sacrifice Lifeblood | 4.5 |
It's near-perfect for me. I love the breakdowns, low growls, and everything. But the thing that bums me out is the orchestra. It's good...too good. Not everyone loves deathcore, and it's a shame that some can't experience the whole thing with the chaos and beauty. But I hope newcomers can listen to this in awe because it really is a work of art in the metal scene. |
Mr. Bungle Mr. Bungle | 4.0 |
I've heard some weird shit in my life. I listened to a song about gay cowboys getting fucked (Ram Ranch). But this is close to the top, and it's fun on every scale. While it is long with the samples put in, and, yeah, the sound is very taboo. for many people. But if you introduce them to like "Carousel" or "My Ass Is On Fire", then they might see some of the charms. The many different instruments, the unpredictable change of genres, and the clown vocals from Mike Patton deserve the title of "Best Avant-Garde" album to ever exist! |
Green Day Dookie | 5.0 |
Skrewdriver Boots and Braces/Voice of Britain | 1.0 |
Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill | 4.5 |
This was a fun album. This was in my cd collection and got me jamming in my bedroom. I even wanted to sing "Girls" in music class (but it never happened). Beastie Boys spit rhymes and throws down some good rythms. |
Beartooth B-Sides | 3.5 |
Love Beartooth and their work. I love b-sides and all things unreleased, so this is really something. |
Arch Echo Story I | 3.5 |
This band is really exciting and is amazing at what they do. Keep it up, and make some songs that aren't 7 minutes long. |
Tirade Nothing Dramatic | 3.5 |
Cool EP, but nothing too groundbreaking. They really had to work a bit more on the sound. Nonetheless, I would recommend it if you like old LTA and Don Broco. |
Tyler Carter Tiny House Covers, Vol. 1 | 1.0 |
I guess this is it for Tyler. I like Issues, but hearing and looking at his performances won't be the same really. He should probably start somewhere other than music, or social media. Also the covers are generic as shit, so eat my shorts. |
Decade Decade | 3.0 |
Better than the rest of the discography at least. But I think it's better on other streaming platforms than Youtube, since I heard a weird clicking sound that really hurted my ears. |
Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP 2 | 2.5 |
Meh, this was alright. I was into Curtain Call: The Greatest Hits more because they were all
fun to listen to. Rap God was the only exciting track on here, so it's best to just leave
this one alone. |
Paledusk WIND BACK | 4.0 |
I Met a Yeti Yeti Camp | 4.0 |
Snail's House エイリアン☆ポップ III | 3.5 |
I listened to alot of Ujico back in middle school, and will listen to him when I feel like I'm
in the mood. The EP has two amazing tracks that got stuck in my head, while the last half is
pretty decent. I love Snail House, and always will. |
Mom Jeans. Sweet Tooth | 4.0 |
Paledusk HAPPY TALK | 4.0 |
All I can just say is "WOW"! The EP starts out aggressive and pissed with the usual Paledusk style of EDM and metal. But half way, it changes into more of an emotional and pop punk type of feeling that just feels beautiful. I can't understand why they don't have more recognition in the metal, they are absolutely insane on every track. I recommend if you like heart-stopping songs that goes all over the place. |
Origami Angel Origami Angel Broke Minecraft | 1.5 |
Experimentally, it's alright. But in terms of being in the midwestern emo or lofi scene, this doesn't hold up well. |
Hello Kitty Suicide Club ^_^ | 1.0 |
Oh fuck! I didn't expect the vocals to fricking scream. Heck, this makes the Fall of Troy sound amazing compared to this electronic emo garbage. |
Six Feet Under Nightmares of the Decomposed | 1.0 |
It was all true. This is definitely the worst death metal band out there. You would think that just because the instrumentals are sick and all. But just hear Chris's vocals, and you'll get what (almost) everyone is saying. |
Alice Cooper The Best of Alice Cooper: Mascara & Monsters | 3.0 |
I'm not too into Alice Cooper, but when I look back on this it was pretty good. It's not very heavy, but focuses on the symphonies more. This gives me some major nostalgia. |
Will Smith Greatest Hits | 4.0 |
Best hip hop cd I listened to. This used to be playing on my radio every night. Few songs
in here are not too good (Parents just don't get it, Will 2k), but it's still one of my
favorites as a child.
Edit: Ok, yeah, my thoughts on him have kinda changed, but at least this album was before
that shit. |
One Direction Take Me Home | 1.0 |
My sisters keep listening to them. HELP ME! This band should died out by now, but I have to bear through this and Dear Evan Hansen from them. Therapy is needed pronto! |
Lovejoy Are You Alright? | 2.5 |
Wasn't really crazy about this album. Yeah, it got some math rock influence, but it's too short and half of the EP is alright. At least Wilbur is less fatherless than most of the SMP. |
Vaperror Mana Pool | 3.0 |
Wasn't too bad. I liked how the whole album felt, but it wasn't iconic in any way. |
Blank Banshee Blank Banshee 0 | 3.0 |
Macintosh Plus Floral Shoppe | 4.5 |
AnimalJam AnimalJam | 3.0 |
AnimalJam The Process of Dissension | 4.0 |
I really don't like their singer, but guitars and bass gives me some good vibes. |
Four Year Strong Four Year Strong | 3.5 |
Periphery Periphery | 4.5 |
Good Kid Good Kid 2 | 4.5 |
Same as before, but still holds up to the last EP. Good Kid is the next big thing. |
Good Kid Good Kid | 5.0 |
What a great album. I'm not much of an indie guy, but every song on here slaps. |
Good Tiger Raised in a Doomsday Cult | 4.5 |
Artsy, psychedelic, and old school. The electronics, guitar pedals, and vocals makes this Good Tiger's sickess album. |
Lower Than Atlantis Changing Tune | 3.5 |
Dance Gavin Dance Mothership | 3.5 |
Fuck Tilian! Good voice, but fuck him, man! This dude needs some serious help. |
Berried Alive The Mixgrape | 1.5 |
Berried talked shit about haters and then dropped an album that got him more hate. Blood Orange and Lemon Drop is pretty good, but the rest is just some stupid Soundcloud rap that takes no effort. The dude is good at guitar, but deer god, put some FLAVOR to this! |
Protest the Hero Palimpsest | 2.5 |
Plini Handmade Cities | 4.5 |
It is Spring, and I listened to this in my bedroom. Every sound is so good, it's like an orgasm (like most jazz fusion). These dudes needs to do a movie soundtrack, it would sound brilliant. |
Plini Other Things | 4.0 |
Sum 41 All Killer No Filler | 4.0 |
I remembered having this album when my mom dug through her old CD collection. I really liked the song "Fat Lip", so I was stoked when I got my hands on it. I listened to this LP so many times I barely lost count. This was definetly all killer, no filler. |
2814 新しい日の誕生 | 4.5 |
Every song made me travel into a new R E A L I T Y |
Corpsegrinder Corpsegrinder | 4.0 |
Absolute carnage! I like the different genres packed into here, like the thrash, grind, death, all of that stuff. I don't go too far into the brutal death metal scene. But Cannibal Corpse is the best, and I love what George crafted here. |
Cabin Boy Osland | 3.5 |
HeadAche (WAT) Food for Thwart | 3.5 |
Ok, not bad for a solo career. But goddamnit, I started really getting into them when after they split and this just felt like a blow to the stomach. |
Fighting With Wire Man Vs Monster | 3.5 |
Frontside (US) Closer to Closure | 3.5 |
Decade Good Luck | 3.0 |
What keep me liking these guys was their vocals, guitar work, and some of their singles. But a few of these songs aren't really grand, compared to Brainfreeze or British Winter. But at least Decade had their own charm, or still do. I don't know, they have not been active for years now. |
Decade Pleasantries | 2.5 |
Knocked Loose A Tear in the Fabric of Life | 3.5 |
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Gone Are The Good Days | 2.5 |
The only problem is that there is not enough breakdowns. Like what the hell! I like that the band is back, but we can do better. This is just too mainstream |
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Pardon My French (Deluxe Edition) | 4.0 |
Origami Angel Gen 3 | 3.0 |
Ice Nine Kills The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood | 4.5 |
It's no wonder why INK is currently one of the most exciting artists in the metalcore scene. You get brutal breakdowns, jaw dropping vocal arrangements, and top tier songwriting. This album is hands down AOTY for me. |
Periphery Periphery III: Select Difficulty | 4.0 |
Possibly my favorite Periphery album. Most of the songs have great melodic taste with the usual djent influences in here. While some of their earlier releases were heavier and quite catchy, I feel like this has something special about it. Without Misha, I would not look at djent the same. |
Lower Than Atlantis Changing Tune (Deluxe Edition) | 1.5 |
I like Changing Tune. The whole album reinvented the sound for them and is amazing. You want to know why? Because they left out ALL OF THIS!!! |
Intervals Circadian | 4.5 |
This has to be one of the best prog jazz fusion album I have heard. The riffs really grabs me in, and the tone and mixing makes it sound refreshing. Keep up the good work, Aaron. |
Intervals The Way Forward | 4.0 |
CHON Woohoo! | 4.0 |
CHON Newborn Sun | 4.5 |
This album was unexpecting for me. Guitars and drums left me feeling amazing after listening to this, and I was studying for exams. Definitely a great listen. |
CHON Grow | 4.0 |
Lorna Shore ...And I Return to Nothingness | 4.0 |
Mixing is weird, but everything in this ep is crazy. Will Ramos is definetly killing it, figuratively and literally. |
Bloodywood Rakshak | 3.5 |
Ok, was it the best album of the year? No, definetly was not. But was it fun to listen to? Hell Yeah! I know people don't like it because of the gimmicks and whatever, but it got those moments that I found quite enjoyable. Much love for India! |
Resilia Gambit/Royal Flush | 4.5 |
Some of the best swancore singles I have ever heard. If you like bands like Dance Gavin Dancem then this is for you. |
Paper Mill Past The West Way | 3.5 |
Blakfish See You In Another City | 3.5 |
In the world of early 2000s british independent music, Blakfish created their unique blend of underground punk and mathcore. Vocals can get a bit screechy at times, but will have the nice, clean, British accented singing mixed in. Guitars have a major role in the band, having many math rock influences with some hardcore punk riffs blended in with the fast paced drums playing. Few of the songs were alright. But for the most part, Blakfish crafted See You in Another City to an absolutly fun and inspiring EP. |
Knocked Loose Pop Culture | 4.0 |
Dang, even when Knocked Loose was in the beginning of their career they spitted fire. I mean, the sound kinda stays the same for most of the EP, but at least it doesn't hold back on the anger. |
Four Year Strong Brain Pain (Deluxe) | 3.0 |
Four Year Strong Brain Pain | 4.0 |
A fresh new sound for fans of easycore. Four Year Strong pushes their musical experience to another level with songs like their opener "It's Cool", and their fast paced self titled track "Brain Pain". A fun, catchy, and memorable album for future pop punk fans and old time listeners of FYS. |
Monomate Grand Battle | 2.0 |
The album kicks off well with a few tracks that generally sound better than most of the nintendocore bands in the scene. But sadly, it all goes to shit for the rest (Except for the title track, that really bops). |
Lower Than Atlantis Far Q | 5.0 |
I often find melodic hardcore bland and boring that tries too hard to be different from the rest. But Far Q changes the sound in a perfect way that still brings a tear to my eye. Fast paced tracks like B.O.R.E.D and I'm Not Bulimic keeps your heart racing with emotional anthems like Taping Songs Off the Radio and Down With the Kids put a smile on my face. |
Lower Than Atlantis World Record | 5.0 |
I can say that Lower Than Atlantis is one of the most underappreciated bands ever. The way they changed their sound and still have those catchy melodies makes them so inspiring. World Record showed that they could still make good music without the melodic hardcore sound they were playing around with. Every song has a meaning, like Deadliest Catch that tells a tale of a man that caught the most girl but got away from him. LTA made a gem for fans of alternative rock and emo, and delivered it just right. |
Lower Than Atlantis Safe in Sound | 2.5 |
Yeah, we all know it sucks. But I can't lie, I Would is a memorable track from them. |
Origami Angel Gami Gang | 4.5 |
Fuck my original soundoff, I want to play smash bros listening to this so that I have a new
nostalgia. |
Origami Angel Somewhere City | 5.0 |
A classic journey to the summer days as a kid. This is what every midwestern album should at least somewhat sound like. Riffs, melodies, lyrics, drums, background vocals, everything. It's emo at its finest. |
Omerta Hyperviolence | 5.0 |
Omerta is definetly influenced by Slipknot, but creates their inspiration into something more dark and creative. With the brutal noises of Talent Show, and melodic sounds of Garbage, this is one EP you can not sleep on. |
