Beats are dope but only the features, namely 21 Savage and Kodak, save the songs as they ride the beats with more flavorful and charismatic rhymes than Boogie. Bumping down rating by about 0.5 cos the guy doesn't know how to take opinions and jumped the Based God cos he's such an even worse person that the quality of this tape. |

If Rob Zombie decided to start a career in trap rap, it'd sound just like this. Beats are definitely cool but his vox sound really bad on them, unfortunately. It's a really interesting concept and it's a logical progression from what the world got from Triple 6's Mystic Stylez album; trap rap with satanic themes and even black metal fonts on the album cover to boot. There's potential in here somewhere but I just can't see it coming from this guy because of how completely unpleasant his voice/flow is. |

Captain, We're Sinking The King of No Man | 1.0 |
The Future is Cancelled contained brilliant, personal lyrics which were backed up gorgeously by Bob's passionate, moving vocals. On top of that was a production job boasting of a trebley which added a searing level of abrasiveness to the hardhitting and often even dissonant riffs and allowed the bass and drums enough room to work their magic around the surrounding chaos. What The King of No Man offers is a passionless album made even more impotent with its bass-heavy and compressed production which sounds like it was recorded with mics hooked up to someone's laptop to be mixed on GarageBand. Bob here posseses none of the admirable traits that made him such a charismatic prescence on TFiC; dude just sounds like he's on autopilot and waiting for the next check to arrive. The songwriting is as void and painfully uninspiring as the desert featured on the album's artwork. Do not fall for the hype. This is a shitty punk album. |

It's more or less the same as what the listeners got with These Systems are Failing. Samey, vintage 80s post punk drum machines on top of catchy, distorted synth lines on top of crunchy guitars with those passionate, layered, Ian Curtis-wannabe vocals and loud production. I personally love TSAF and find this to be a fantastic companion to it so take it however you want. The current state of music needs more of these fast (angry) songs about the (political/social) apocalypse.r |

Beautiful nature recordings backed by the avant garde weirdness the active listener of Count to Altek has come to expect. The agression and heaviness is toned down greatly, however, and instead there is a focus of the instrumentals weaving together with the chirping birds to tell the story AAS had in mind while recording this EP. For what it is it's quite nice, but it's fairly meandering and the 3 tracks do blend together too much due to the lacking diversity on the instrumental side and the long lengths of the first and third tracks. Still, well worth a listen for anyone interested in the band. |

Now THIS is the Twenty One Pilots I fell in love with when I heard Vessel. Granted, it's Mute Math who steal the show but if anything, it showed me that deep down these piece of shit songs were far from salvageable. Idk hope these guys do more collabs or if not then TOP needs to step up their songwriting game by taking this experience in mind and experiment more in ways that don't have "selling out" written all over it like they did on Blurryface (and also lose the pseudo-reggae stuff; it was tolerable on Guns for Hands because it was brief and the way it enters into the song so abruptly was, frankly, genius but this sound has been done to death on both Blurryface and all the pop so gs on the radio after that album dropped) |

I've finally concluded that this is the modern St. Anger. The band is sober trying to fight with every fibre of their soul to retain something pure to capitalize on and attempt to make an album based on what little understanding they have on it, being misguided as they are. It's a raw, honest portrait of the band at this point of time (this time with guitar solos!) and it's as bittersweet to look at as the first time hearing St. Anger for the first time |

These guys used to be so good when they had a unique sound with organic instrumentation to compliment that powerhouse voice Ryan Tedder possesses. Then they started making all out pop music which didn't compliment his voice as well and sounded less inspired than their first two efforts. This album here only furthers their downward spiral. Such a shame, Waking Up really showed how much potential these guys had with making an album that would give Viva La Vida a run for its money |

More experimental than the first but, oddly, is much worse because of it. While the first album felt like an actual band playing some songs, a lot of the songs on this album just felt like random samples haphazardly thrown into some Zach Hill jams. The more straightforward punk songs just fall short because of how unmemorable and mediocre they are. The ska songs are interesting considering the preceding album; however, these batch of songs are even more unmemorable than the sample based songs and the punk songs because they sound even more underdeveloped. Hill's performance as a drummer is admirable, but everything else musically fails to compliment it in any way. The weak vocals worked well on the first album because they added to the lo-fi garage rock songwriting; they just feel completely out of place on this album (the gibberish lyrics can sometimes be charming tho). Very disappointed but still anticipating these guys' next one |

Probably the worst and most disrespectful album cover I have ever had the displeasure to look at. I don't care how decent an MC he may be. The fact that he has the audacity to come out and claim to be better than Biggie and Pac is beyond what the word "disgusting" can ever convey. Pac is dying to come out of hiding and record/release Hit Em Up part 2. And you thought I was kidding about that stupid claim he made? https://imgur.com/a/vLL2W. Btw, this guy sucks. He emulates what the two did (e.g. create a song about phone sex like Pac did although Pac actually DID have phone sex in the song, rap about actually being in jail which is technically something every rapper has done, etc the list goes on) but he brings fucking ZERO originality or insight to what he's doing (hell he doesn't even have the rhyme skills of either of the two). He's riding off of shock and hype and the come down will leave him with a scathing hangover in the near future when he's rapping about the same shit he's rapping about on this mixtape and everyone figures he's a fraud |

Train Train Does Led Zeppelin II | 2.5 |
I'm the furthest thing from a Train fan but one thing that made me not mind a Train song being overplayed on the rradio is that powerhouse voice Pat posseses. That being said, it was slightly disillusioning to hear him struggle to rhit some of the more high or prolonged vocal lines; I get that it's an unfair comparison because Plant himself has rone of the greatest voices in rock history but I expected Pat to have done a somewhat better job, which in my ropinion he's perfectl capable of. Aside from that, what makes LZII as magical as it is (or any LZ album for that rmatter) is the insane production job by Mr. Page; Train does an adequate job in attempting to emulate the energy rand make no compromises in attempting to replicate the unconventional production but I guess depending on how much you like the band, this one's going to be a love it or hate it affair. Imo it's neither great or bad, but it's def an interesting listen coming in with an open mind. Caliggy is right, tho, Train need to do more rock oriented music because, frankly, they really put up a fine performance on this album; just that it inherently pales heavily in comparison to the original |

Rather disappointed that it's nowhere near as good as Acid Rap, but it's still a damn great, passionate effort by Chance, nonetheless. However, what really dilutes the entertainment value of this is that it suffers from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Syndrome: a far above competent artist relying too heavily on the features on the album (which end up stealing the show way too often) as opposed to letting their creativity take front stage |

The packaging and overall sound for the 180 gram double LP vinyl is fantastic, Ric was not fucking around when he personally remastered these songs. It's a refreshing change from the old, worn out CD of the band's previous greatest hits which I've inherited from my dad. This is highly recommended to anyone who loves this band's singles as much as I do, however, what prevents this from being the perfect bundle is the glaring omission of Let the Good Times Roll which is probably the band's second best song (first being I'm Not the One). |

In Utero is easily Nirvana's best studio output, no doubt, but even then that album had something missing that
rthe band's previous two studio albums were also missing: the raw energy of their live rperformances. The setlist
of this concert is just pure energy and concise enough where the rslightly poor production doesn't outstay its
welcome and hinder the listening experience. Also, rextra kudos for having the bass and Pat's guitar easily
discernible, and not to mention, one of rthe best vocal performances you will hear Kurt give live that isn't from the
Unplugged album |

Oh yay this is finally in the database. 2013 remix of In Utero is so much better than the bastardized one in 1994. Those bonus tracks and demos are essential as well |

The band decides to (slightly) tone down the avante-gardness and settle for something more digestible than the previous two releases with a fair bit more emphasis on the band's folk influences. A great release by every means but it drags somewhat towards the back half. Anyway, how Famine hasn't murdered his throat yet will continue to be one of life's greatest mysteries |
