This is one of the best recordings in hard rock, featuring the Scorpions' more creative era rwith Uli Jon Roth, including some of their best cuts. Especially the absolutely orgasmic rsolos on "Polar Nights" and "We'll Burn the Sky". Classic, and the best way to enjoy the rScorpions' early career.

Rerecordings of older songs (album tracks and b-sides). What's great is that they're all well adjusted to the Banshees' newer style. Personally, I prefer these versions to the originals for their great production and stellar performances. Red Over White is especially incredible

Some great songs here, lots of (typical Budgie) awesome riffs too, but also some wtf moments r(Eveything in My Heart - whadda hell is dat?) and pretty bad production. The song titles rare always a pleasure, too! Only Budgie could ever write a song about a woman without any rclothes on, parachuting, and disintegrating, all in one.

Yeah, this is def the heaviest Sabbath album I've listened to, but I find the highlights are more Dio's vocals and Geezer's bass. I think the second half of the album is much better than the first half, which I find, frankly, forgettable, save for the opener.

Steely Dan Can't Buy a Thrill
Do It Again is probs one of their best songs. Reelin' in the Years, Kings and Heartbeat are also really good, but the rest is average.
Tengger Cavalry Ancient Call
Tengger Cavalry's sound is really good. The higlight being how they blend the traditional Chinese/Mongolian instrumentation really well with the metal. My only gripe is that the metal part is really rather generic, and a lot of the songs end up sounding the same.
The Agonist Prisoners
The Killers Day & Age
Third Eye Blind Third Eye Blind
Thundercat Apocalypse
Thundercat Drunk
Fun record, smooth, relaxing, funny lyrics! Vocals, however, get old by the end of the record (very little variety), 25 one to three minute tracks hinders the flow, and there are not too many memorable moments unfortunately.
Toxik Breaking Class
Unisonic Ignition
Van Halen Van Halen
Voivod RRRÖÖÖAAARRR
X Japan Jealousy
The ballads are the best part of this record. Silent Jealousy, Voiceless Screaming and Say Anything are fantastic. Unfortunately, the incredible speed metal they performed on their last album isn't present here, as their heavier songs mostly consist of mid-paced rockers, with some horrid cheese to boot. There is definitely enough to please any fan of the band, but this is their weakest album by far.
Yawning Man Pot Head

2.5 average
Black Label Society 1919 Eternal
Bleed for Me, Battering Ram, Mass Murder Machine and maybe a few others are some great songs, but as an album this doesn't work well, since all the songs sound the same. This album, and this band, suffers from a serious lack of inspiration and variety. Getting through all 60 minutes of this was a chore. They're still a great live act, though.
Budgie If I Were Brittania I'd Waive the Rules
A very disappointing album. This is simply subpar by Budgie's standards. In all fairness,
Sky High Percentage IS AWESOME, bute some of the vocals are irksome, and there are some
veeeeeerrrrryyyyy boring songs.
Budgie You're All Living in Cuckooland
Gamma Ray Insanity and Genius
Tribute to the Past, No Return, Last Before the Storm and Gamma Ray are all amazing tracks
and the likes of Your Torn is Over and The Cave Principle aren't too bad. As for the other
tracks, they're not that great. 18 Years and Heal Me are particularly boring as fuck, and
that's what plagues this album: boring tracks.
Gamma Ray Land of the Free II
An average album... It's disjointed by the likes of the awful chorus in To Mother Earth,
Leaving Hell, and Opportunity. As well, Kai's vocals are a bit off key, his falsetto,
especially. Into the Storm and Rain are pretty awesome, though. At least they didn't resort
to stagnation, like they did with their next release.
Hermano Dare I Say...
Iron Cross (USA-FL) Iron Cross
A stylistic mess. The dual-vocalist approach totally threw me off. There were some good moments though.
Judas Priest Redeemer of Souls
Korpiklaani Karkelo
Lee Aaron Metal Queen
Lee Aaron Call of the Wild
Mayhem Deathcrush
Megadeth Countdown to Extinction
Primal Fear Jaws of Death
Scorpions Face the Heat
Alien Nation is a freakin' blast! But the album goes downhill from there. The few next tracks are pretty catchy, but after that it's pretty meh.
Scorpions Savage Amusement
Siouxsie and the Banshees Join Hands
Siouxsie and the Banshees Superstition
Sodom Persecution Mania
Voivod Katorz
Voivod Voivod
Voivod Infini

2.0 poor
Bathory Bathory
Black Sabbath Seventh Star
Coven (USA-WA) Blessed is the Black
Tbh the tonal dissonance between the humourous and serious tracks was pretty annoying. I found it
very difficult to get invested in this and the songwriting/performance wasn't enough to save most
of it for me.
Ensiferum Two Paths
Fates Warning Night on Brocken
Gamma Ray To the Metal!
Gamma Ray Skeletons & Majesties
I wonder how many skeletons and majesties it takes to power a light-bulb because this thing has
no energy
Helstar Burning Star
The guitars are good, but most of the songs aren't anything special (though perfectly adequate). What really brings this down is the vox, James Rivera has very little control over his impressive vocal range. If anything, everytime he belts a high-pitched scream, it sounds grating and out of place.
Motorhead Sacrifice
Napalm Death Scum
Overlord (CAN) Overlord
Average 80's heavy metal, terribly mixed. The vocals are way too loud, especially considering this
guy has no control over his voice. The last track has some cool guitar going on, though.
Quiet Riot Road Rage
Soundgarden Fopp
The Killers Battle Born
Thor Hammer of Justice
Unisonic Unisonic
Uncreative, boring, and wholly disappointing for something that held so much promise.

1.5 very poor
Devin Townsend Empath
Jaden Smith The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story
Judas Priest The Best of Judas Priest
Its a cash-in from their former label: pointless collection of songs from their first two albums with a very fake title. Doesn't even have some of the better ones like Run of the Mill or Dreamer Deceiver. The only reason I don't give this a 1 is because it's Priest and the album's artwork
is pretty cool. It's much much much more worth your time to listen to the original albums.
