Ayano Kaneko タオルケットは穏やかな (Towelket wa Odayaka na)
Easily my favorite Kaneko record since 2018. While she's always had this blend of 70s classic rock and 90s alt rock influence, I think her and her band have found their stride with this one. The guitar and bass tones are full, and the production is perfect. Lot of dope grooves for Kaneko to do her thing vocally over

Kid Cudi is back. The production on this album is phenomenal (Cudi producing everything himself) and all of the guest spots, save for maybe Too $hort, were great additions that supplemented the track instead of being used just to be used. Switchfoot The Beautiful Letdown
Switchfoot Fading West
Yes, this album lacks a lot of what made Switchfoot themselves over the past decade, BUT it's not necessarily supposed to be taken just as a stand alone piece. The accompanying film adds so much life and character into some of these songs; the members' kids all singing on the chorus of the single, a choir full African children who is surviving their parents' death from AIDS, the very scary moment of the potential loss of Jon Foreman's daughter... all of these adds to wait would normally seem like an "uninspired" record.

At first, I thought it was really good because I was kind've worried that it would've been awful, like Killswitch's second self titled one, but it was actually good. I changed the rating because I've given it 3 or 4 listens since then and have noticed some generic song writing. Still a good band, just not their best record
