Nothingface Violence
The first record released through TVT, the material is simply excellent, production is quite flat though, guitars are very thin-sounding and that's crazy considering the tuning Tom was using on most of the tracks, demos show what could have been.rSkeletons lacked some of the focus found on this record, but the production improved a huge lot and the overall sound palette got way wider.rI fail to see how it's related to Nu-Metal at all.
Nothingface Skeletons
Took quite a while to get into it, could feel a bit shallow at first, at some point I realized how well those guys wrote interesting and challenging music, while keeping the core of it simple - the guitar parts rely on groovy riffing instead of soloing, the vocals make your headphones drip with vicious passion, tasteful bass lines come through just enough to spice things up in crucial moments and this exact album catches the most experimental this band ever got, the production is simply top-notch and was praised by the band in comparison to their earlier releases. Wish they got the attention they deserved, TVT barely marketed the album (the same happened to Violence) and the tour for it was cut short.

Funny someone compared this to Dope, the bands are on the opposite sides of writing quality level. Every track on this LP is very mindful of the overall composition and the vocalist is crazy driven, clean vocals sound very interesting too. The album flow is very good, doesn't let you rest, has many surprising twists and turns. It's been a while since my first listen and I still love it to this very day, reminds me of Nothingface and still stands on it's own.

Their best album, one of the only two I revisit from time to time, clean vocals are rather emotionless and boring tho
Benjamin Clementine Glorious You
Better Lovers Highly Irresponsible
This one is really enjoyable, certainly a bit more interesting than the EP, not quite as rad as Radical was -, not sure if it's the vocals or The Butcher not being here on the guitars.
EDIT: Fell in love with it after some spins, I learned to appreciate the different things attempted here, some stuff is quite bold and most of it sticks nicely.

Killswitch Engage Killswitch Engage (Remastered Edition)
Not exactly just a remaster, sounds to me that instrumentals were re-recorded entirely, rewritten in parts even, but, unlike how some tracks from the debut were re-recorded a few times in the past, this release keep the original style intact. Jesse's vocals weren't re-recorded, those sounds crazily emotional, painful and driven - glad it was left that way. As far as I'm concerned, this is their second best LP, everything after lacked the drive and purpose.

letlive. The Blackest Beautiful (Revisited)
Finally some effort to redo that weird production the original had, I feel like the source tracks didn't allow for much retooling, so it's still sounding weird in places (the over-produced vocals are pushed to the front and sometimes it sounds very grating).

Tight and diverse sounding album, I'm enjoying the way instrumental and vocal parts are written a lot, the production is great. Lyrics are mostly unimpressive and edgy, that doesn't ruin the album big time for me though.
Nothing More Nothing More
Nothing More The Few Not Fleeting
Nothingface An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity
...Atrocity is considered to be the lesser album in the triad of the latter (and the most acclaimed) NF catalogue, and, yet, this is the album the band was looking back to most when they tried to reform the band for the last time - it is their most focused body of work with a deliberate deep heavy sound to it that was not revisited on the following albums and it was the album that didn't have TVT interfering.

A much more varied and driven material than what the vocalist had going with Drowning Pool before that, the comment he had about AM Conspiracy musicians having much better skill does ring true, the drummer goes especially hard here.
American Head Charge The Feeding
Riffing took the center stage on this one when compared to the previous LP, samples are gone and it's certainly for the worse. The focus is more individual-song-oriented this time around, so it doesn't flow as good as one finished body of work, but it's still a very good album - the b-side "Downstream" is of special note here, should have been on the main tracklist.

Some very late Nothingface's riffing style shines through on a lot of tracks (what a treat), Todd Smith is great at writing weird and interesting parts and lyrics, but he can't quite command those riffs as they clearly demand at times, a few tracks are straight up filler, but overall it's a very good album with some distinct feel and vibe to it, does feel like only certain fans of both Dog Fashion Disco and Nothingface would appreciate it enough.

A very curious album, half of it is The War Of Art tracks in their earlier forms, much rougher around the edges and way more industrial-dripped sample work, which makes it stand on it's own in a way, but it's still very impressive how much that material got elevated in terms of execution on TWOA.

Vocals are seriously overproduced for my taste, which is a big shame, I enjoy Shayley's delivery, it's most certainly the main selling point of this. Otherwise, the production is solid, probably the best among all previous releases, music is varied for album to not become stale too fast on repeated listens, lyric-wise it's pretty shallow.

The original release is plagued by weird mixing choice of putting vocals and (very subpar) electronic parts too much forward, so nuance and power behind every instrument is way harder to notice, this re-release included a new mix and guitars were brought forward, but bass got lost in the process, a shame, could have been the game changer of my view on this album.

Tbh, everything on the debut was extremely bland apart from "Tear Away" and the whole thing was barely kept interesting solely by Dave, this album has much more energy to it mainly because of a great replacement on vocal duties, the rest of the band drags the whole thing down immensely and the mix is simply disgusting to listen to at times, but I still consider it a more interesting listen and the only one I'd revisit from the whole discography of the band.

Heart in Hand A Beautiful White
I See Stars New Demons
I, the Breather Life Reaper
I, the Breather These Are My Sins
I, the Breather Truth and Purpose
Killswitch Engage As Daylight Dies
Just a bit more than average, the album only has 1 interesting song, apart from the singles, and that's Desperate Times. The band tried to go in a more melodic direction by putting less focus on harsh vocals (which isn't a problem), but struggled to write sufficient enough hooks, TEOH certainly was more deliberate than this.
Killswitch Engage Incarnate
Same old tricks from the previous LP, only with a bit more melody, rhyme and reason, Jesse sounds way more confident and not as intimidated by the previous vocalist as on DTD. Still, half of the tracklist is not much more than average metalcore fodder for background listening.
Killswitch Engage Atonement
Making baby steps in terms of development since KSE '09, sounds like Incarnate 2 - just a bit more focused, but just as formulaic, specifically in the instrumental department, Jesse's vocals are getting better and wider in range every album, though, crazy impressive, I just wish better material would accompany them.

Marilyn Manson Raise The Red Flag
Aiming at TGAOG aesthetically, the music sounds forced,
vocals are somehow strained and overproduced (even though
recent live shows were decent enough), lyrics seem like
random diary quotes with little flow to them. The best
track here is "Front Toward Enemy", which is a worse
version of 2003s track "Use Your Fist and Not Your
Mouth". Hopefully it'll get more interesting further on,
since any of the last 3 albums blow this out of the
water (with HUD being the least impressive one).
Marilyn Manson One Assassination Under God - Chapter 1
It is an album that feels closer to the Holy Wood era of the band, but I wouldn't call that the best thing they released in years, it is a focused and fairly careful bunch of songs, but the core lyrical theme (loads of self-pity) feels incredibly overused and (with the still pending investigations) does not sit well for me to listen to, even if I followed the band for decades. Musically it does not go out of it's way to do anything all that interesting apart from riding on 90s-00s Manson nostalgia baits and that's a big shame, somehow Manson still being chill/half on autopilot on We Are Chaos was way more surprising and pleasant to digest than this.

Nothingface Nothingface [Re-release]
This one is like Kill, I Oughta by Mudvayne, only way better. Pretty solid for a debut album, though the interesting stuff starts at "...Atrocity" (which was acknowledged by the vocalist as well).
Nothingface Nothingface
Of Mice and Men Of Mice and Men
Shailey sells it, otherwise pretty damn average, production is so dry and by-the-numbers for that era of metalcore.

Killswitch Engage Disarm the Descent
Feels very artificial to me, most songs have little to no flow, just a lot of varied chugging and not much else, Jesse desperately tries to push his vocals in a more Howard-like direction and it just fails to feel convincing at all. Overall, I failed to notice anything of worth (nothing close to his previous works in any of the projects he was involved in up to that point of time).
Killswitch Engage This Consequence
With all the early pre-release interviews with Jesse about the band taking time to write something new this time around, it's insane how one-note boring the release turned out to be, even Atonement (as formulaic as it was) ranks higher in my eyes. Sadly, the latest Times of Grace album didn't fare that much better either. What an insanely far cry from AOJB.

Horrendous lyrics, absolutely trashed voice with no range whatsoever, overlong intros full of barely noticeable sounds and very basic instrumental parts - feels glaringly underwritten overall. The only thing it has is a focus on delivering something more or less united in style and sound (the mix is neat and the guitar is nicely abrasive-sounding), the album has some weird atmosphere that stays there for the whole run, but, otherwise, it's a very dull piece of work and only a tiny bit more worthwhile than THEOL.
