Beartooth Pure Ecstasy
The album has pretty vicious riffs and vocals, but the soft tracks didn't appeal to me
whatsoever. Lyrically, the record feels way too limited, which is a shame. Jordan Fish's
hand in this is easy to notice, and I am not sure if it is good or bad, to be honest.
Overall, the singles are the most interesting parts of this record (plus "Sorry" and "You").

Kudos for trying, Hermida's lyrics and "clean" vocals are wildly underdeveloped, music also tends to wallow around too much and often falls into nonsensical chugging. No amount of "good" production could have saved this material, they clearly tried to grab the first and most raw ideas/takes they could. Still, it's the only SS album I managed to sit through in full and the overall vibe of the album is quite consistent (which is cool).

What a cource correction after the abysmal Slop to the King! Absolutely lovely balance between the latter dive into experimentation and their classic gimmicks, Matt's overreaching in his vocal duties also works in favor of the LP, makes it a bit more raw.

At first, it was simply too funny. Then it moved to being goddamn bizarre. But now I am
vibing with it, and what a cool vibe it is. I would take this little EP over most of A7X's
discography in an instant. It seems like stuck old fart reactionists would rather swallow
another pile of regurgitated slop like Hail to the King than go on a fun little sonic
adventure, lmao.
