| Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction
| 5.0 08.16.14 | | Various Artists (Rock) Dressed To Thrill: A Tribute to KISS with Female V There are dozens of KISS Tribute albums out there. "Dressed To Thrill: A Tribute to KISS with Female Vocalists" stands out mainly because all of the singers are female. That's why I bought it, but it turned out to be one of the better KISS Tribute albums in terms of cool, unexpected covers of KISS songs too. I'd never heard of most of these bands and several of them turned out to be really good! | 4.0 08.16.14 | | KISS Creatures of the Night I think "Creatures of the Night" is an underrated album. By this time, the musical direction had changed significantly from what KISS was doing at their peak in the 70's. This would be their last album with the famous makeup before taking it off for the 80's and the music may not have matched what people expected from the band, but with this album, they came back to making hard rocking music. The songs are great, the performances are great and the sound quality is great. Most of these songs aren't classics, but a few like "I Love It Loud," "War Machine" and "Creatures of the Night" are classics. The rest of the songs are good songs too, | 4.0 08.16.14 | | KISS Music from "The Elder" I'm a KISS fan, but I can't listen to this album. Every couple of years, I get it out and try, but they were just way off track here. I will admit that the sound quality is good and the performances are good. I really feel bad for Eric Carr who was the new drummer at the time because this album was so unlike KISS. The songwriting is just not right for the band at all. I do have a new appreciation for the song "A World Without Heroes" after hearing the band "October Layne" perform their version of the song on the "Dressed to Thrill" Tribute CD. Aside from that, I don't like any of the songs on this one. I think this is the worst KISS alb | 1.5 08.16.14 | | KISS Unmasked By this point, KISS was slipping. The only great songs on this album were Ace's songs. All three of Gene's songs felt like he wasn't really trying anymore and Paul's songs on this album were sappy, 70's pop filler. This was also the last album to credit the original lineup (even though by this point, Peter wasn't really playing drums on most of the songs). | 2.5 08.16.14 | | KISS Dynasty Not counting the 4 solo albums released by each member of the band just prior to the "Dynasty" album, this is where the band started to falter. Paul Stanley brought some solid songs to this album and it's nice that Ace was singing more. However, the additional Ace songs meant that Gene only sang lead on two tracks and Paul's songs were more pop or disco than the hard rock that he's been delivering. The album isn't bad, but it's certainly not the hard rocking music that KISS fans had come to expect over the previous few years. | 3.0 08.16.14 | | KISS Alive II This sequel to "Alive" came after another three studio albums, but this time, KISS also threw in one album side of new studio tracks. "Alive II" is an essential KISS album for the energetic live performances of the best songs from the previous three studio albums as well as some great new studio tracks. 5 out of 5! | 5.0 08.16.14 |

| danielcardoso I remember it used to be, but I was never the one keeping itd. All the band members have been very busy for the past 4 months, so we haven't had time to keep itd. We haven't had the need to do it either, we've been earning some money and gaining publicity... You see what I mean, right?
|
| danielcardoso We don't have a lot of originals anyway. We have about 6 or 7 demos written, but, like almost every other bar band, 50% of our show is made of covers.
|
| danielcardoso I'm afraid not, my band has been doing a lot of gigs in bars and we've been starting to become regulars at a bar near our hometown. We play there almost every Saturday night. A local record label reached out to us recently and we're hoping to sign a contract with them to record our first album. Sometimes, the bar we play our Saturday night gigs in keeps footage of our performances, if I can get my hands on some of that footage, and with due permission, I can put it online.

| danielcardoso Yeah, Appetite For Destruction is one of my all time favorite rock albums too, it's really amazing and Guns N' Roses at its absolute best. It's nice to know that we have similar taste, in case you ever want to check out stuff by bands you haven't heard before, you can come for me so I can give you recommendations, and vice-versa.
