  • Azertherion I'll make sure to listen to Points again ! I wasn't as convinced with the electro parts when I gave it a first shot, but maybe they've grown on me in the meantime

  • Azertherion which is possibly bound to her apparent psychosis throughout the series, even though it becomes less "obviously apparent" the more the series go. One sure thing is that I loved watching it, the artistic direction and the approach they took to delevop the series' themes were simply captivating. It was pretty hard to sit through Lain's unstoppable descent into the virtual chaos, but one other aspect that makes this series so great is how prescient it is. A classic for sure

  • Azertherion Is she actually a program created by the Wired "god" (aka the first posthuman) ? Unlikely since she does have a physical body (that she doesn't abandon). Is she a human ? Probably, but her family is a big question mark (her "father" himself leaves her at the end, implying she's some kind of virtual goddess entity, seemingly indicating that her whole family was a lie - although it could have been an hallucination); and obviously, her identity shattering through the Wired

  • Azertherion Her persona issues suddenly stop being prominent after the 10th episode where Lain explains that the other lains were the Lains created by the representation other Wired people had of her in the Wired; while it doesn't give a proper explanation for a lot of the events that occured prior to that point (the shooting ? the psyche chip her double "left" at Cyberia ? the confrontation with the men in Black ?), it feeds more to the main question of the ending, Lain's nature and identity

  • Trifolium Hi Johnny! I've got a question concerning a new release, slated for November 1st, Underworld's Drift. Do you perhaps know whether a contributor is going to review it? I'm planning to do it myself but not at the risk of doing work you guys are also going to do. Staff isn't going to do it.
