| heck not strictly goth (more dark post-punk adjacent to goth, think Joy Division or Seventeen Seconds/Faith era The Cure but less oppressively gloomy) but The Chameleons - Script of the Bridge is an all-timer for this general era/style of music. I'd also recommend Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - Talk About the Weather, Beastmilk - Climax (a modern classic imo), Asylum Party - Borderline, and The Danse Society - Heaven Is Waiting.

| DoofDoof Yeah, he has released so many albums either solo or as The Hold Steady but that one is my favourite - every song is good and the lyrics are so well thought out, best story he has done.
