| cylinder Ages Gone was fantastic, thanks for that man. And ah ok, yeah I love that comp. So much variety. Their 2020 album is the one I go to as well, haha, always thought that was the most nimble and interesting one. A couple other free death-related works I think you'd at least find interesting would be: Trichomoniasis - Makeshift Crematoria / Barbed Wire Maggots - Sporadic Fever Visions

| cylinder Oh wow, I didnt realize it went back that far! I gotta listen to Ages Gone now. Ok, I get more what you mean by Encenathrakh influences now. Effluence does have a way of playing that's pretty similar to them. Now I'm even more curious what youd think of Effluence's noisier stuff tho haha. Also, are you familiar with the I Cant Believe its Not Encenathrakh compilation?

| cylinder Glad you dug that one, man! Def agreed on the percussion, that's what kept me coming back in the beginning. That cowbell is so frickin dry, I love it haha. Brain-tickling indeed. You're right that Encenathrakh were the ones who started the whole 'free death' thing, I think at this point Effluence has taken it a bit further tho.

| cylinder Hey man, kinda surprised by the lowish rating for Liquified. Maybe youd be more interested in their weirder stuff? Sarmat is a 26-minute brutal free jazz odyssey, and the first one I fell in love with. And Destructive Transfixed Incorporeality and Stillborn Eucharist Psychosis both go far into noise/sound art territory. Just an fyi I guess. Happy to see anyone checking them at all tho, they're one of my favorite bands and def not for the faint of heart

 | Futures they're just a fun band. i've always loved the debut. they just kinda got turned into a meme when in reality they are a step up from most brain dead slam. much more musically interesting. some great grooves and breakdowns.

 | artificialbox listened to the Nimal S/T twice now. Very interesting album. It's hard to formulate much of an opinion on it right away but it's pretty weird and I like it. Has a simplistic charm to it despite harboring some complex and fascinating moments. Thank you for the rec!
