| deathschool I started at a community college AND got my associate?s degree back when all of this started. There aren?t many people in my department that got their 2-year degree before their bachelor?s and starting their master?s. My goal is to eventually get a community college teaching gig. I got a lot out of my community college experience.
| deathschool For the last 3 years, it has been half working as a grad student and half working as an instructor. So, I teach two classes a semester to undergrads and take two graduate classes alongside it. I typically either teach 101 or 102, so first years composition most of the time. I did get to design and teach two section of a 200 level sci-fi lit class for one semester. I am hoping to hear back from KU soon about teaching full time, so 4 classes a semester. And hey, that?s awesome about the Associates
| deathschool I hope it will turn out to be a lasting solution. If they?ve had their eye on it for a while, maybe it was the root of the problem, but I really don?t know much about cancer treatment. You?re a bad ass for making it through two rounds. I do like KU. Like any job, it has its fair share of bull s*** to deal with. A lot of my disdain for certain red tape in academia has definitely increased exponentially over the last year especially. But there?s not anything that I would rather do as of right now.
| deathschool Damn, man. That?s some intense s*** to go through. I am glad to hear that you?re on a bit of an upswing now. Do they seem optimistic about the treatment lasting? Life is pretty good over here. Finding work afterward is an ongoing and never ending stream of applications, but I am graduating from my master?s program in a few days!
| Hawks Let me know what u think!
| Hawks Go for Ash Borer's 2009 demo. You'll most likely have to YT it but its flawless. First track Drukne is prob my fav bm song ever.
| Hawks Bro idk if u saw my most recent bm list but czech it out. I know you're getting more into bm so there's prob lots of stuff u would love. M///
| Frost15 Indeed man. Effluence is freaking nuts. It is a literal mind-**** haha
| Artuma good to hear man, was great to catch up with you too! we shall definitely chat again some other time
| budgie put nexus polaris on the top of your list it will blow your socks off it is ****ing amazing
| budgie idk i dont like the clicky kick drums and the guitars sound weird :(the emperor sound is just unsatisfying
| budgie first spell and nexus polaris are like tha best albums eva
| budgie sure, on my last list i have 6 albums with the "synthy" tag, i love them all
| calmrose Some of my favorites this year have been Knoll - As Spoken, JFAC - Moon Healer, meth. - Shame, Gouge Away - Deep Sage, and Dodsrit - Nocturnal Will
| calmrose you too pal :], was gone for awhile but got pulled back in lol
| ScuroFantasma Actually me too haha, I jammed Nightside like crazy because it?s essential, and never got around to Anthems. Guess I?ll add that to the list.
| ScuroFantasma Will do! I?m currently catching up on the few DT album?s I missed between Arctic Thunder and the new one. Gonna be a string of solid 3.5s I can tell already.
| ScuroFantasma Hell yeah, thanks man. I?ve actually never checked Ihsahn?s solo stuff before so it?s probably high time.
| ScuroFantasma Ah man, sorry to hear you?re still dealing with that, awful stuff brother, but glad to hear things should be looking up soon. I feel the same way getting back into music again recently after basically coasting on stuff I always liked for the past few years. Life has been pretty great all things considered. If you?ve got any top tier recs for new stuff I?d be keen to hear them (:
| ScuroFantasma Hey! Good to see you?re still around these parts too. It?s been ages man, how have you been?
| Hawks I can always get down with some war metal. I'm on it. M///
| Hawks Damn right bro you got this! **** that s*** just keep being yourself and being positive. Its a scary ****ing thing and you're handling it like a man. This s*** can't beat you.
| Hawks **** bro what a bunch of BS. You're too young to have to go through that. Its just not fair man. I'm glad you're doing good though bro. I hope the treatment does its job and you can let this be something to leave in your past. Nobody deserves that.
| Hawks Bro wtf u have/had cancer??? :[[[ I am so ****ing sorry not trying to pry but just came across some comments. Had a scare myself earlier this year and it terrified me. Such a s***ty thing that pisses me off to no end. My cousin died of leukemia in 2016 at 28 years old. I genuinely hope you're ok bro.
| hal1ax thanks bro, same goes for you; hit me up anytime about whatever.
| Artuma plenty of cool places in scandinavia but for the most picturesque i'd go with the alps
| Artuma there's definitely a lot of exciting places to see here, hmu if you ever get a chance to do so
| Artuma definitely hope to be able to do so, beautiful landscape out there!
| Artuma well we kinda drove past wisconsin but la crosse was where we stayed in. the road trip was from toronto to vancouver, went through chicago, the badlands, black hills, yellowstone, grand teton park, calgary and banff. was definitely a trip i'll cherish for the rest of my life. i doubt we got to see the best wisconsin has to offer as we just drove i-90 for the most part
| unclereich mixed bag lots of moshing and no etiquette, the crowds can ruin it. the band is obviously great live tho. I will say dg used to be pretty raw live and ride couldn't really make it thru a whole show vocally as the songs demand a lot from him. though their last tour was the best I have ever heard them. good way to go out if that's what happens
| Artuma honestly i'm not too surprised they only played one song off their old albums as their crew has changed a lot over the years (i mean, they would likely require a cellist if they wanted to play any of the skinny fists stuff) but the new s*** sounded great too. where in wisconsin are you based in? i actually went to wisconsin two years ago as i had this wild roap trip across america with my girlfriend
| Artuma nah, unfortunately. the only old song they played was east hastings (which ruled, of course)
| Artuma i somehow always thought skinny fists was clearly inferior to f#a# and slow riot but these days i prefer it to both of them. sleep is the best song in the history of post-rock
| Artuma dude you will absolutely love hvis. with yanqui i have a bit of a weird relationship, i actually used to dig it even more than lysf and thought it was a masterpiece but recently haven't held it in that high of a regard. still a worthwhile album though
| Artuma yeah emperor is definitely not too over the top symphonic like, say, dimmu borgir, but i just don't see what makes them that amazing. burzum's jarring ambience is more my thing and albums like hvis and filosofem are done to perfection. you should definitely check the last two gy!be albums out, i'm not too big on luciferian towers but god's pee (lol) has some classic s*** in there
| Artuma damn that's some raw stuff right there, never really got into emperor for some reason but burzum is some of my absolute favourite bm. myself i haven't really got into anything new lately but i bought tickets to see gy!be a while ago and ever since then they've been on a binge
| Artuma always liked chatting with you too bro, and yeah music does get one through some tough times. what have you been digging lately?
| Artuma aww s*** cancer is the ****ing worst. can't even imagine how it feels but takes a s*** load of strength to go through that, wish all the best for you. from what i gather sput is a lot less hostile these days, i remember you getting a lot of s*** back in the days and nobody deserves that, definitely much nicer to come here these days than, say, 10 years ago
| Artuma haha, i never left man, just haven't been that active in the last couple of years. yeah i'm actually very good now, well past my mental issues. didn't realize you're back on sput too, how are you these days?
| hal1ax yea im 34. so i started my mba planning to continue further into healthcare administration which is what i had been doing. now im pivoting more into data science / data engineering. ill prob try to work for a tech, finance, or supply chain company. ive been really enjoying using different programming languages and applying it to deriving business insights from data. pretty sick, hopefully ill land something when i graduate. and thats dope, there's prob a ton of upward mobility in insurance
| unclereich really tough to say man, no one knows for sure. I will say it's rare for artists to stop making art and it's not normal for all three of those guys to suddenly stop making music(I know Zach has undo k) so I think there's a good chance of a random ep drop someday.
| hal1ax fck man im sorry thats awful. glad youre recovering now though and starting to feel better. and you gonna try to do something with business when you start working? anything youre interested in in particular?
| hal1ax damn sorry to hear that. you said things are looking better now though? and sick yeah im pumped for new darkthrone
| hal1ax yea likewise bro. and im finishing up my MBA right now. i graduate this fall. and oh sh1t what BM records you been jamming? BM is always in my rotation
| hal1ax yea i pop in from time to time to see whats up. def not the same as it used to be tho lol. and im ok. finishing up grad school this year. have you been jamming any new music?
| hal1ax yoooo good to see you bro! how are you?
| Wildcardbitchesss It?s got its ups and downs. I really don?t like the fact that we?re in a red state, but STL isn?t so bad.and on the rams? god no lol. You?d be really hard pressed to find anyone that likes the rams unless they?re like from LA originally. We really hate Stan Kroenke for that move. Most people flocked to the Chiefs, I didn?t really give a s*** about sports back then, I?m a Battlehawks fan tho! Idk if you follow spring football but the UFL (formerly the XFL) is huge here.
| frozencarl yooo I checked it on the way home from work, I actually dug it pretty hard. surprised by the low average but I guess thats just sput hating on what could be classified as deathcore back then. the Bolt Thrower cover was nice too m/
| unclereich good sh!t. I just recently spun the steroids ep, what a monster that is. the prospect of them maybe releasing new material again someday is one of the few reasons I have left to live.
| Butkuiss Gretchen is their universal classic and probably going to be most to your taste if you?re vibing Sabbath atm, but Dogman is equally good if you want a chunkier, grungier, Brendan O?Brien vibe. Honestly super underrated band, they do some really creative and unique things within the bounds of metal that I reckon haven?t ever really been pulled off by anyone else ? it?s not often you hear metal bands pay homage to soul and gospel in the way they do.
| Butkuiss While you?re going back through essential metal artist?s catalogues, make sure you give King's X a spin, big dog!
| bellovddd damn no idea he just dropped an album! flowers is an amazing album!
| DaveyMonsoon Yeah, been going through a mix of hidden gems, some newer stuff and some albums I've somehow missed and it's been pretty fun. Definitely a fun genre to dig through for stuff.
| DaveyMonsoon You'd probably dig early Neaera if you like that particular era of their discography. They changed their style slightly with their third album, but their debut and sophomore albums are definitely worth looking into for similar vibes.
| Nocturtle Hope you've been good my brother! I miss those days too I'll try and be more active my dude let's keep playing those junz
| unclereich well, at least there's no dik on the cover
| Butkuiss Tbh I do most of my sputnicking live from the muscle farm.
| DoofDoof Tbh I only really know the most recent three and maybe I would put the new one ahead of ?Blank Face?, need to live with it a little longer. What is the best of his first three?
| DoofDoof I know everyone jokes about it since forever but I do genuinely wonder how the site keeps going as the traffic seems real low now, but I am just happy to be able to still chat here Currently the Schoolboy Q is the best hip hop album this year for me and one of the best recent comebacks in any genre.
| DoofDoof Cheers man, yeah I have had my ups and downs here but I feel I have sort of toughed it out and just enjoy the site now. Parenthood puts it all in perspective, as big a cliche as that is. Good Schoolboy Q rating!
| zakalwe Has always been Paranoid for me. Iron Man was blasted out me school stereo system around 1993 by some lad who had it on tape stuck it on and it completely blew me bollocks off although it wasn?t until me mid to late twenties when I started to really get into the band and love all the Ozzy stuff.
| zakalwe Cannot beat a bit of Sabbath. I see you have a correct rating for Sabotage. One of the best openers of all time on that.
| zakalwe Constant rotation is that Smile album. I absolutely love every second of it and it will definitely be up there as an album of the year contender. The same old s***e as always as well Oasis for life. What about you mate
| zakalwe Haha dont know whether thats a fine compliment or an insult. I?ll take both
| garas Hey! Good to see if somebody is interested in that one! I'm already working on a review, but feel free to write your own as well! It's always good to see more perspectives.
| botb Haha yeahhhh buddy, that s*** is awesome. Deez is the only other user that really gives them any love bc they?re Belgian
| botb Yeah? He played guitar in PFC but I didn?t know he was a vocalist before btbam. Will have to check. They released a remix/remaster of the btbam self-titled full length like 2 years ago, I actually love it
| botb And hell yeah man! I actually think I prefer them to btbam these days
| botb Haha, it?s crazy how long I?ve been coming here. Since sophomore year of high school I think, I?m 33 now. I?m from Richmond, Va, I live in a nearby mountain town now but getting ready to move back I think. Most of the folks I?ve met from sput over the years have been at out of state shows and stuff though up and down the east coast
| el_newg hey mate, hope you're doing well. I've been enjoying seeing your name pop up in classic metal threads, a lot of that stuff is my wheelhouse hahah
| botb Yeah feel that. I go through spurts where I won?t post for a while and just lurk and then other ones when I?m more active. Miss a lot of the people that used to post here too, I feel like I?ve met more people IRL from this site than anywhere else
| botb Haha thank you man, I?ve done a lot of deep dives. Probably Antigone but I have a weird soft spot for iconoclast too. And likewise, always a pleasure. This stupid site has been my on again off again link to finding cool music for way too long to abandon it now
| botb What is up my guy. Try Prayer For Cleansing, Undying, Catharsis, Arkangel, maybe Heaven Shall Burn? They kinda are still doing that style well and have been since like 2000
| zaruyache Eggs of Gomorrh - Rot Prophet goes nasty wasty
| zaruyache i looked them up and apparently their album is already on my bandcamp withlist probably from years ago lol. idk if i dig them but i'll try ? I kinda hate most war metal lol but i'm trying to find some more grindy guitar-oriented ones.
| bach we live and we learn though. And one thing ive learned is that cuddlemonster is better than calculating infinity. I cant think of a more deranged vocal performance in the genre
| bach but all things considered I?d actually consider myself a lot happier than I was back then. those days were a lot of fun but i was also a ****ing asshole back then too, and when I reflect on some of the choices I made during my sput glory days, it made me shudder. Or even some of the dumb s*** I used to say on here. Being an angry, hurt teenager/early 20-something was not fun
| bach Definitely have a fondness for those times man. glad to hear youre persevering! life is disappointing more than it?s exciting, but Im always jammin man. Good that youre rediscovering your love for it too. saw that you were showing love to sawtooth grin when I checked the thread, genuinely love that album
| bach Futures sup! Miss you boss and hope you?re doing well. Whatchu been bumping lately
| SteakByrnes Just jammin lots of old stuff from high school lol but also been really into house and breaks and stuff like that the past few years
| SteakByrnes Hell yea dude lets go, I've also been jamming more music again recently after taking a break for a while and it feels refreshing
| SteakByrnes Haha you know it brother, I remember that being pretty sick lol. I've been doing pretty well lately! Moved into an apartment with my gf and that's been going well. Hope you're doing well too brother always god to see you posting again
| brainmelter idk I just like cataloging stuff heh. Ive been trying to write review but not sure what, I?ve started like 4 reviews but haven?t finished them. Is this what writers block feels like
| brainmelter yea electronic in particular is something I have to spend a good amount of time with to fully absorb. And hell yes that song rules, my favorite song is probably I Will Wait. I love her voice and the twee-ness of it all, def hits the spot!
| vult Yes jags fan - duuuuval
| JayEnder Oh hell yeah I've been to Stevens Point. Last visited when my high school bowling team went there for state if I remember correctly. Then again I graduated 4.5 million years ago so who knows lol. Wisconsinites stick together dude we should link up at a Milwaukee show sometime
| Ryus sounds awful. stay strong and jam hard m/
| brainmelter damn well it sounds like you have a lot to hear! take your time with them, idk about you but I get overstimulated by listening to a lot of new metal(s) lol. Gorguts is the goat and Black Sabbath rules too, both bands were v ahead of their time. I?ve been mostly jamming electronic lately but a post rock band called Ada has found their way to me again, perfect for welcoming spring
| mandan I've been into them for years, but only got the CDs recently.
| mandan Nice that you're getting into Sabbath; I recently acquired their first 6 on CD, very groundbreaking band for their time.
| Ryus damn thats sick. hope youre doing ok now health-wise
| budgie oh im a big butthead but you seem nice. you should check that saxon shore EP from the list, it's tonally very similar to under summer, love that mood
| Ryus yeah big knicks fan. this is the best season ive seen in my lifetime lmao ive never experienced joy as a knicks fan like i did in january right after the OG trade. so happy theyre actually fun to watch now. i seem to recall you being a bucks fan, congrats lol
| JayEnder Yeah dude born and raised. About an hour north of Green Bay in Marinette if you've somehow heard of it lol. Still trapped in this hellhole at 26 and can't seem to figure out how to manage moving out. Money is tight these days
| Ryus u know it ? but truthfully i am not super into college basketball, much more of an nba fan. still march madness is extremely fun and ill never forget being at cameron for the duke/unc final four despite the very unfortunate result
| brainmelter damn I?m sorry to hear that.. stay strong man, I wish you the absolute best. What you jamming lately?? You should check out the Everyone Asked About You discog compilation, it rules
| brainmelter heya(: yea Ill always be around unless the site explodes or i get hit by a car or something. I started the year with an appendix removal but I?m doing great otherwise! how are YOU doing??
| Butkuiss Glad to have you back ? and feel free to pop round for a chat whenever
| Butkuiss Thanks bro ? glad some people got a kick out of it. nice to see you still chilling too :)
| zakalwe You given Flashbax a listen yet mate. I need affirmation!!!
| elliootsmeuth Yeah, I gave that a listen too, really cool stuff. A big playlist of everything is always nice and easy to throw on, would definitely recommend
| elliootsmeuth Thanks man! I'm double majoring Psychology and Biological Sciences, but I'm going to pursuing a master's in clinical mental health counseling, so the bio is gonna end up kinda useless lol. But yeah, I've noticed I've been listening to less and less new music as I've gotten older. I made a big playlist with all the music I like several years ago and I've just been bumping that for a while now.
| elliootsmeuth Haha yeah I feel that. It's been good! Going into my last semester of undergrad, which is exciting. Haven't been listening to as much new music as I'd like, but I've been trying to change that a bit recently.
| elliootsmeuth Hello yes I occasionally am! Couldn't remember my log in lol. The Sput classic
| Gestapo im a normie now unfortunately love u homie good to see u still kickin
| MarsKid Good thing to get into, especially if you find the right situation. A good company should help set you up for success and get you ready for a larger role.
| MarsKid Love to hear it! You're killing it lately dude. I don't know if I've ever asked, what is it you're going into?
| MarsKid Let me know how the interview goes! And I'm glad to hear you're checking some new stuff, it's a good time to look around. Lot of killer releases from the past month or so
| MarsKid HELL yes dude, I'm so happy for you! That's great. Hope you're able to find yourself a good fit. How about the Lakers getting swept??
| MarsKid My man, I am doing well! Lot of writing and chilling, per usual. Keeping up with the NBA playoffs for the first time in basically ever lol, my friend has gotten me into it. How about you?
| SteakByrnes Yea they are VERY similar lol, it's helpful to watch a video so you know who's doing what
| SteakByrnes ya I get what you mean, a lot of it is just heaters but I still dig them lol. I really really love the title track, and the way Myke and Michael play off each other vocally is sick
| unclereich yea some are getting long in the tooth but the aforementioned are still more than capable of going on another championship run. though, no doubt about coaching. not sure what can be done there.
| unclereich Yea I?ve been in your shoes twice. Just have to be happy that giannis is still young and there?s a good core there that will continue to compete going forward.
| SteakByrnes Yee boi, Barr was always the better vocalist so when it was announced that he was coming back I was so hype lol
| SteakByrnes I feel you, and hell yea let's go. Happier is very good return to form after they kinda did some meh work. No more Gus on vox but Michael Barr came back, Diego left the band prior to it (and then passed away a week later, huge rip) but they have a leftover Via track as the closer and it sounds amazing dude
| SteakByrnes That's based, I think No Sleep doesn't get the respect it deserves because it's an ass beater of an album with some gorgeous melodies and soundscapes on it. I like Via more but No Sleep is easier to just throw on and spin
| unclereich Southern California is like a different state entirely and doesn?t have near the beauty
| unclereich I?ve never experienced the beauty of Northern California anywhere else. I just can?t afford the price of housing there anymore
| unclereich I used to live about a half hour north of Oakland. But I was born there and my parents grew up there as well. I?m off grid now pretty much lol. Oakland like most of California has gotten to the point where it?s a lost cause in the eyes of politicians. It?s very unfortunate because it has a rich culture and 8 million people live there!
| unclereich Definitely not a coincidence 3 major sports teams left oakland tho. I get they don?t want to use tax payer dollars to fund a stadium. They feel like it?s better suited going to social programs. That?s a fine and dandy normative position to take. However in 5 years vegas will be booming and the A?s will be one of the most valuable franchises in baseball. Oakland will be an ever worse cesspool than it is now as no amount of state and federal spending will fix oakland.
| unclereich Yea I?d never stop rooting for any of my teams. My fandom isn?t contingent on their location but it?s definitely a tough pill to swallow to see both leave. I grew up going to the coliseum every weekend. It?s the last real pure bare bones stadium in baseball, despite the fact it?s a dump. That?s part of the allure. Blame can be cast all around but it mostly comes down to the owner not wanting to reach into his own deep pockets. Nevada has plenty of money to give Oakland doesn?t.
| unclereich Ryan Braun was a goat. Yea lol I?m on suicide watch with the A?s leaving
| unclereich unclereich yes great run considering my other teams are: the raiders/a's/sharks/Dale Earnhardt jr. absolutely painful franchises to root for. fortunately I'm a big Texas longhorns fan and got to witness them beat usc IRL
| Mort. lula divinia!!!!! very nice album. pls feel free to reccomend me anything
| Mort. i mean i love philosophy so its great teaching it but it only gonna be steady once i pick up a few students. need to the good reviews and that innit. also check shiner (best band)
| MFPENCIL Three years of the same treatment sounds very convenient haha, it's always good to hear good things on that end. Transferring to a four year is definitely an option, I'm thinking UIC or DePaul maybe but for now I'm just gonna focus on my associates since I'm already halfway there
| MFPENCIL s*** that's awesome man! really glad to hear your health has been good. yeah im planning on starting with online courses in the summer and going from there. i'm meeting with an advisor next week to figure out my next step but im leaning towards journalism as of now. still have a few different routes i could go, just gotta find one that sticks.
| MFPENCIL i've been good, just been working and inching towards going back to school really. been trying to write more in general which has been... on and off tbh. what's been new with you?
| MFPENCIL the site's always been funky, but yeah it's gotten even more so the past year or so. srlsy how the hell do the entire forums get wiped? weird as hell man
| MFPENCIL i think i tried changing my old password like a month before the forums got sent to the shadow realm and I got frustrated trying to figure out said password. so to answer; yes and no lol
| Mort. hey man sounds good, nice and steady work. what im doing is very unsteady, basically self-employed but im living at home so i can make ends meet. teaching philosophy to an a level student at the moment (16-18 pre uni qualification), want to teach myself some other courses/curriculums and widen the net ya get me
| Mort. thats great man congrats! any plans for post-graduation? i just started doing some online private tutoring. only got one student so far but im hoping to get some more. planning on learning other courses so i can teach them aswell.
| Mort. what up my dude hope youre doing well. check shiner
| sixdegrees looks based, plug was the best in terms of functionality by far. The discords been pretty dead, what I might do is put up a list on sput this weekend to try getting a session going.
| SteakByrnes Hell yea brother likewise, always glad to hear from you and chat it up. I always remember how you were the first person here to hit up my shoutbox lol
| SteakByrnes Yea I'm glad you're still kickin it man, you were always a pal to me. I share the feelings of nervousness and excitement for the future lol, I hope it holds good things for the both of us my man
| SteakByrnes Yea a change of scenery will do me good, plus I'd then move in with my girlfriend if all goes according to plan so I'm hoping it happens sooner rather than later haha. And hey even tho it took a bit it's still happening and you should be proud dude! It took me like 6 years to get a 4 year degree lol so just gotta take what life gives ya and go at your own pace.
| SteakByrnes I dig it dude, kinda want to do something else in the software field tho like have a job using a new language I don't use now just to keep things fresh you feel me, but otherwise I dig it! and oh hell yea glad to hear you're in good health and that you're working on getting that degree! I remember talking about that last time with ya, that's so sick dude it's a huge accomplishment, you must be very happy about that
| SteakByrnes Good to hear from ya man I hope you're doing well! I'm doing pretty good, just on that work grind life as a software engineer lol, been trying to find a job somewhere else tho same sort of position. How've you been big dog?
| Ryus just finished my undergrad in may of last year in computer science, working as a software engineer now. i moved away from the place where i spent my whole life which has been weird but im doing pretty great all things considered
| Ryus i was like 10 when i had my first account lmao that probably messed me up in some ways that i dont realize. but thats awesome dude, good to hear youre doing well
| Ryus whats good dude, its good to see a bunch of old users popping up again. im still kicking around here, cant believe ive been here for so long at this point lol. i was probably like 16 last time you were active, now im a real adult n s***. how you been?
| sixdegrees i'll link you when I put something out for sure; site's been pretty dead, biggest thing to happen was mx adding some new genre tags after like 8 years, also the forums got hacked and had to be wiped as a result so now no one can change their avatar lol
| sixdegrees That's great man, sounds like you've found a regimen that works. I've been doing music and also more experimental noise stuff like w contact mics and synth, just got demos and practice recordings at this point but its a good outlet.
| sixdegrees Same old s*** mostly...getting back into home recording lately so hopefully gonna have some stuff out by the end of the year, also got covid a week ago but got over it pretty quick, hopefully you're staying healthy
| sixdegrees Glad to hear things are looking up; I've just been going through backlog stuff for the most part, there's so much to keep up with from the past I don't get how people listen to like 100 releases a year lol

| sixdegrees not too bad, how about you? keeping up with new music much?
| unclereich im happy that youre happy and that youre in good health brother. take care of the accord and it'll take care of you.
| unclereich Really proud of you lad that is awesome. Sounds like you found your path. What kind of car you driving
| unclereich Swimmingly, thanks for asking. What?s up with you dude
| MarsKid So an EDGE at the combine clocked a 4.39 40 time...
| MarsKid A lot of our fans don't want to admit it, but the window is closed for now and we're likely headed to a rebuild year. Now, there are rumors apparently the Jets would trade significant picks for Tannehill, which, if true, could change things a little bit. Not to say I want Tanny gone, he's done a lot of good for us, but we have too many roster holes and we've hit a ceiling with him under center.
| MarsKid Oh it was a beautiful sight, even as a Titans fan lol. I don't think the world will see the Chargers Charger themselves any harder than they did, that's just the peak.
| MarsKid 2023 is dragging HARD so I might head back to that list sooner rather than later lol. Did you check the Superbowl?
| MarsKid Dang really? Someone made it (that's their usename), list is titled 100 emo albums you may not have heard or something. And thanks! I'm excited.
| MarsKid Have you heard most of those? I think you did a deep dive deeper than mine lol. Also holy s*** I got promoted dude!
| MarsKid Wow, didn't mean to do that lol, this website. But uh, anyways, this is the list I meant to send: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1211569
| MarsKid Not exactly! I was plugging away through this list: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1211569
| MarsKid I'm doing well, dude, making some positive life changes and just overall gaining some momentum. Been sick the past few days but finally starting to get on the other side of it lol, I can't stand having to sit still or anything.
| MarsKid Just came across Few and Far Between, how come I didn't get a rec for that?! Hope you're still doing well these days mate.
| MarsKid Dude, we will be fast friends if we can agree that the Colts are obnoxious as ****. I've never felt too much disdain for the Jags or even the Texans, but man do I hate the Colts and the Ravens. The professional glue factory gets a Matt Ryan on the wrong side of 30 and the media is already crowning them division winners. It's a joke.
| MarsKid Well... I have no clue lol. Our defense should still be (on paper) elite. We can slide someone into Landry's slot; we've had some good depth pieces perform well this preseason. If Autry/Dupree/Simmons are healthy and are corners take a step up, the D will be a top 10 unit. The offense is a MASSIVE question mark... I'm definitely nervous.
| MarsKid Oh damn lol, believe it or not I'm a Titans fan haha. AFC South bros.
| MarsKid It's not bad! I can listen to music, it's relatively chill, pays decently so I can take care of my bills. That's all I really care about honestly. And Wisconsin eh? Are you a filthy Packers fan lol
| MarsKid Something about the empty midwest eh lol. So I went to get an education degree, but I ended up not having a single desire to teach and am now working in sales instead. Just didn't think it was worth it.
| MarsKid 25 in a few days. I just shuffled from Cincinnati OH to Columbus, so not too far! But enough to where I can start my life anew.
| MarsKid Lot of changes actually. Graduated college and moved cities over a year ago, got a job, then got a NEW new job. Now just kinda writing and doing my art stuff, the usual grind lol
| MarsKid If it works it works! Really just need something to pay the bills and fuel your passions/hobbies, don't always need to find a job you absolutely love doing. Especially if it gets your foot in the door of something better!
| MarsKid Dude that's fantastic! Sucks you don't wanna be around anymore but I get it. Everything else sounds amazing, life is trending on the up and up and up. Got any plans post-college?
| MarsKid Oh snap man, didn't think you were still around! I'm doing OK, same old same old. How've you been?
| MarsKid Someone else needs to be around to plug The Moirai with me, I'm fighting a losing battle :^(
| Mort. yeah thats definitely a good choice of degree, has wide applicability. and im still really into metalcore and post hardcore etc. in the last few years bands that have really stuck out to me are The Armed, vein.fm, pyrrhon (skronky death metal). got really into Hum and Shiner as well (90s alt rock/post hardcore).
| Mort. oh yeah man times have definitely changed, a lot of the drama and nonsense that used to occur gets shut down pretty quick these days (for good reason imo). still some s***ty users but theyre not as prominent. and i got my philosophy bachelors, was doing a masters but dropped out when covid hit, didnt really like doing it online. just got to work out wtf i want to do lol. best of luck to you tho, enjoy your time in education and dont let it stress you out too much
| Mort. that great man!! im so happy for you, ****ing sucks that ppl back in the day just didnt believe you or made such a big deal about it, really glad youre in good health. and hell yeah i remember you, i remember most people from when i joined sput, dont have the mental space to remember new users names with all the old ones clogging up the brain lol. i graduated a couple years back but due to covid had to sort of put off finding a career, hoping to get back on track once i get back to the uk.
