So there's no way I can track my recent comments, right? That is unless there have been further comments afterward which keep it bumped in the 'All', 'Reviews' or 'News' tab. Recent listens/digs/recommendations/music to iron to.
1Antony and the Johnsons
I am a Bird Now

This is sooo good. I still can't believe this is a product of the 2000s, Hegarty's voice takes me back to the 80s/90s. One track that has been put on repeat a lot is: "You are my Sister", featuring a great contribution by Boy George (another excellent voice... note to self: must investigate Culture Club). See the music video at: ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj6CBRixRhc
2Nightwish
Oceanborn

Thanks to Ballstothewall (man, that guy gets namedropped everywhere, haha). Hadn't really heard anything like this before, probably early CoB is the most comparable. Had also been dismissing such a genre... listen to one and you've heard them all. I'm glad to have been disproved there. Very head-bangable.
3 Bette Midler
The Divine Miss M

I'm working on that list of gay great albums by out.com that I shared a while back (link: ://www.out.com/detail.asp?id=24081). While I like Bette Midler in general, this album was a bit too normal and uneventful.
4Six Feet Under
Bringer of Blood

Barnes' voice is flat, blown out. Pity really. I can listen to this if I'm in a carefree mood.
5Rise Against
Appeal to Reason

Listened to this twice. Can't remember a thing about it. 'Nuff said.
6Keith Urban
Be Here

lol. "Days Go By" is a cool track. Overall, nice songs, but nothing to write home about.
7 Hank Williams
Rockin' Chair Money - Gonna Shake This Shack Tonight

Greatest Hits compilation. All very solid, all very enjoyable. Time flies by with Hank.
8Cold Chisel
Cold Chisel

"Khe Sanh" 'nuff said.
9 Niccolo Paganini
24 Caprices for Solo Violin

I don't like solo violin much. I think I just downloaded this to hear of Caprice no. 24, which has been the source of many variations from other composers. But yeah, Paganini is probably the equivalent to the shredders in the guitar industry, haha. A virtuoso as they say. Had a mean set of sideburns to boot.
10 Pat Metheny Group
Offramp

No life changing experiences here based on the one and a half listens I've given it.
11Unearth
The Oncoming Storm

Generic.
12Cryptopsy
None So Vile

I don't dig much. Listenable, yes, but that's it really. Just one of those cases where something deemed significant hasn't done anything much for me.
13Queensryche
Operation: Mindcrime II

This was rather tough listening. Really didn't like the vocals much, neither the sound or the phrasings. Very cheesy. The music too didn't impress me, I was expecting to be jizzing at unexpected moments. Might give the first part in the series a chance, seeing how lauded it is.
14Stargazer
The Scream That Tore the Sky

A recommendation. Awesex progressive/technical death metal. Needs a review.
15My Chemical Romance
The Black Parade

"This is How I Disappear" has been getting a lot of plays. Same with "Helena" off 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'.
