I love the sound of vinyl. I'd be tossing on 32 and 35 right this minute if I had them on vinyl.
But has the technology overcome the scratching problem? There are some songs where, when I listen to it today, I still anticipate a "skip" at the exact point where I had a scratch on my record. And this is decades later!
I've seen a couple places around me that advertise vinyl repair, not sure if its that intricate or they're just fixing broken records. I haven't had that problem yet thankfully. Tho I don't listen to the vinyls themselves that often I keep them more for the collection and to support the art that really enjoy.
