Albums That I Wished Were Better

List title is pretty much self-explanatory. My complaints are listed within.
1Loudness
Loudness

In the mid 80s Loudness produced some amazing Heavy metal albums that can easily stand side-
by-side with the classics Iron Maiden and Judas Priest made. But these guys wanted to still appeal
to America, which is fucking stupid, because these guys decided to take a grunge/nu metal route. In
short, their talent that they use to have is strained and indefinitely imploded on themselves. Even
now they're kind of getting back on track, but they still suck.
#WasteOfTalent
2Swallow the Sun
Emerald Forest and the Blackbird

The album had a lot of great ideas. Unfortunately, their death doom style clashed with their
depressive, katatonia-esque rock style (which has a lot of potential). Hopefully these guys will figure
out a formula to create another awesome album.
3Stratovarius
Stratovarius

An album completely null and void of their true and original style. At least the Element series had
some great moments with their signature neo-classical sound, but this album is another example of
waste of talent or St. Anger syndrome.
4Children of Bodom
Blooddrunk

I don't even need to explain why this album sucks, and why it needs to be better. Though it does
some good qualities but they're all short lived. At least they've gotten back on track with Halo Of
Blood.
5In Flames
Reroute to Remain

This album should've never been created... This literally set up their impending doom on their
relevance factor. It's a shame really... The world deserves more Colonys, Claymans, Whoracles, and
Jester Races, not this pseudo attempt at being metal (despite some of their songs they put out
every now and again).
6Dark Tranquillity
We Are The Void

Some songs were perfect like "I Am The Void" and "Shadow in Our Blood". However, there were too
many songs that felt incomplete despite the predominant use of keyboards for melody. For instance,
"Dream Oblivion" was an alright song just "Her Silent Language" along with many other songs, but
they seriously had too many opertunities to expand on the solo sections to make them absolutely
killer.... But they didn't.... Practically anybody can listen to the album and point out we're they could
have put in an awesome solo or a lengthier solo - and this rule also applies to some of the bonus
tracks. Besides that, it was enjoyable for what it was.
7Amorphis
The Beginning Of Times

It would've been better if they focused a bit more on elaborating some melodie here and there, but
I still enjoy it for what it is.
8Ensiferum
Unsung Heroes

Wtf happened? This album should've been killer, then again every band has its up and down swings.
9Opeth
Heritage

Okay, so you're going to pay tribute to your influences? That's all fine and dandy, but that shouldn't
give you the incentive to be something you're not. Don't get me wrong, Heritage has its moments; I
just hope they can create another album that has equal greatness to their indisputable classics.
10Wintersun
Time I

Very disappointing. So many years, and so little to offer. Let's hope that Time II has more to offer.
Though I do like the Japanese folk influences.
