Our Cursed Rapture
Damn dude. This was a total dark horse for me from 2009. Not thinking much of the band, I waited until Christmas to get the
album, and was subsequently blown the hell away. Absolutely adore the death/black metal vocals, the down right nasty
guitar/bass playing (bassist, not using a pick. Mad props), and the blinding drums. Definitely worth a checkout if you're down
with death metal, black metal, or just GOOD metal in general. | | 2 |  | Katatonia
Night Is The New Day
Another album I didn't bother to pick up right away, and another big shock. The record is just plain dark, but in a "Mikael
Akerfeldt just had a conversation with Meshuggah," kind of way. Atomospheric? Check. Awesome melodies? Check. Creativity?

Existence Is Futile
Why the hell did I miss all these records from 2009? Brutal. Brutal is easily the best word to describe this album, and I mean it
in every sense. The vocals, the otherworldy guitar playing (and I mean it), the monstrous drums... everything. If you want a

Milliontown
Finally! Something from a while back (2006). Beautiful record, and also something that isn't heavy as hell, unlike the last three.
This has been one of my favorite albums since 2008 when I found out who Frost* were, and it's only grown since then. Jem
Godfrey is a beautiful songwriter who can go from wintery piano lines to straight up rock and roll, to even a bit of harsh

Scattering Of Ashes" now. Between the shred and riffage from Tim Roth, and the ten0thousand-octave-spanning Stu Block, this
album is a MUST HAVE for any metal fan. Period. | |
