08.21.11 | picked 1 and 2 up at the show.
holy god, they were loud. in the studio, they keep it relatively light and stuff, but live they manage to make every song heavy and loud. hell, they even got a pretty intense pit going during Fragile (they added a heavy, kinda groovy part at the end). |

08.21.11 | I've never really imagined post-rock working in a live environment, though I've never seen any live so I can't really comment. Sounds awesome nonetheless. |

08.21.11 | damnn. at the Magic Stick? |

08.22.11 | nah, San Fran. Bottom of the Hill. totally cramped and sold out, and the opening act was a really gay soundcloud ambient artist who took 50 minutes to set up AFTER the show was supposed to start. it was so worth it, though. |

08.22.11 | I saw them at the Magic Stick and they were absolutely fantastic. On record I think they're a solid band but not great. Up close they blew me away. |

08.22.11 | i felt EXACTLY the same way, dude. everything was so much more intense live. |

08.22.11 | I'm seeing them tonight in LA. Can't wait. |

08.22.11 | dude, tell me how it is |

08.22.11 | I just came back. It was fucking awesome. Everything was great, especially because it was at the Troubadour. They're much more energetic live than on their albums. The highlight was definitely Suicide By Star. My only complaint was the length. It was just over an hour. Oh and the opening act which was some guy making sounds on his laptop. |

08.23.11 | THE OPENING ACT IN SF WAS EXACTLY THE SAME DAMN THING
and the highlight for me was when they did (i think) Fragile as an encore. like everything else, they made it super heavy, but they added on this sweet groove part at the end that started a mosh pit. |
wyankeif1337
08.23.11 | nvm, the encore was Fireflies and Empty Skies. |
InAbsentia
08.23.11 | We only got one song as an encore! even though the croud were really into it.
Yeah, everything sounded much heavier. I was surprised, actually. They're much better musicians than I thought they were. |

08.23.11 | the drummer was actually really damn good. he even got some pretty intense double bass going during one of the songs.
