5 album covers I like

As an avid music lover, I like collecting vinyl records. One of the reasons is holding a piece of art in my hands, placing the album on my record player, sitting back and studying the record jacket, liner notes, and the album’s cover sets the tone. Here are 5 record album covers I like.
1Have a Nice Life
Deathconsciousness

The album cover is a cropped version of the Jacques-Louis David painting, La Mort de Marat (English: The Death of Marat), which documents the death of French revolutionary leader Jean-Paul Marat. I particularly enjoy how it mirrors itself when the gatefold jacket is opened up. I have a limited edition of 500 copies on black vinyl. Comes in a thick case-wrapped gatefold jacket. The jacket features a new layout by Niels Geybels with some additional text by the band. Includes a 70+ page zine made from the same files as earlier editions.
2XTC
English Settlement

XTC’s 1982 ENGLISH SETTLEMENT album reflects something of English history, starting from its album cover. It’s based on a 3000-year old chalk etching called the Uffington White Horse. The minimalist cover, green mixed with the white design, makes this aesthetic especially nice.
3Tycho
Dive

This album cover captures the dreamy, hypnotic, and relaxed vibe of his music perfectly.
4DIIV
Is the Is Are

Maybe it’s the two 12-page 12" x 12" lyric + art booklets included with the album, but this colorful cover houses some great lo-fi, shoegazy, indie rock inside.
5Wilco
Summerteeth

The combination of the blue and black is carried over to the 2LP gatefold packaging making for a clean, crisp cover for my favorite Wilco album.
